After getting my first GSP a few months ago, I was hooked like most people on this forum are. As a result, I had always wanted to get a second GSP and was planning to get a female but recent work pressures meant that I decided to postpone this.

But on a recent trip to Europe, I fell in love with a litter and a specific male pup that had great temperament - brave, friendly and I loved the colouring/appearance too. I also saw how much work a litter is having stayed a couple of days with the breeders. As a result, I postponed the idea of a female pup for a few years given a possible 'oops' situation with my existing male.

Anyway, my second male GSP came in yesterday and here are some pictures. He's sassy and quite up to taking on my other two dogs and even trying to hump my 19-month old female Golden Retriever. Needless to say, she wasn't amused and quickly sent him flying. But, he isn't fazed and is an absolute delight. He's called Galileo.

Trying to take pics of all three is a huge challenge as they're moving constantly so more pics will follow, but here are some to start with.

Thank you all. Yes, he was quite striking looking and when I saw the litter, I have to admit that he did catch my eye very easily. Took all three out today so more pics in a bit.

Nancy - yes he is indeed full of it already. He was actually bullying the other two and although Seve was generally good with him and not too rough, Anna pretty quickly laid down the law as far as hierarchy was concerned. I think he's got the picture now. More pics from today - was a beautiful day in Bangalore and they really enjoyed themselves. We ran them ragged though and they were pretty pooped at the end.

Sorry - the last few pics of Seve and Anna were taken with a phone camera and are a bit fuzzy.

Thank you all.

The legs seem to be a GSP trait. Seve had those huge legs too and he is pretty big now at 8 months. In fact over the past month or so he's lost his baby face and has filled out and looks like a big adult male. Also, the marking was very striking and as I said before, caught my eye immediately within the litter. I really liked the solid back and the striking contrast with the legs and the spots on the legs - he was very distinctive looking within the litter. That, plus the sassy expression and the general attitude. He's quite brazen and has been bullying poor Seve who is unsure as to whether to send him flying or whether to put up with him like a little brother. I have to admit that Anna also has displayed more patience than I thought putting up with the humping with more equanimity than I thought she would display - she turns at me and has a look as if to say 'Seriously, you have got to be frickin' kidding me - now I have to put up with this crap from this wee bugger'. Fun times...

The weather is pretty wonderful in Bangalore I have to admit - nice and temperate without it being too cold or too hot except in April/May when you can't do much anywhere in India unless you live at an altitude of over 5,000 ft.

I am trying to figure out a training routine and some sort of agility training experience for them since this doesn't exist formally in India. I am trying to meet a few people on my next trip to UK/Europe since I am there on work every month and need to get some equipment set up to get them started.

If the UK members have any ideas, I'd be happy to listen. Also, I am in the Bay Area a couple of times every year so if any of you are nearby, I'd love to meet. I used to live in Berkeley and San Fran for six years including during Grad School and my work is still HQd there.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to all of you. I'll try and keep the photos coming.

What a beautiful gang! Your new pup is absolutely gorgeous, such a nice face. I've got to admit, it's also really nice to see more pics of your solid black gsp, very difficult to come by.

Miss you forever Kintra baby xxx
