Brought Keely home yesterday, and after the 4 hour journey she walked into our house, shook for a while, then proceeded to make herself at home by running around crazy with her toys and attacking us  She's so small but so bold.  She met both of our families today and took it all in her stride although when my 5 year old nephew stole her bed to use as a gaming seat whilst playing the wii, she dived at him and wriggled around his back pushing him out

Keely looks adorable in her pictures!! Amazing how the GSP breed likes to lay upside down like a fruit bat (her first picture). Sounds like she is making herself right at home. Hope you enjoy your new bundle of energy :)

I cannot tell from my computer...is she solid black or liver?

Too cute! I love how she carried the stuffed duck around and turned her head when you whistled. She sure does look bold.

She is adorable. Looks like she is already firmly in control of the family.

Thanks, she's really taking over already!  I forgot that we need a mega supply of kitchen paper and disinfectant around when they're so young.  She's been really great, already asking to go outside to poo (and pee sometimes) - she hasnt been taught to go outside, she must already realise the house is hers and doesnt want to mess in it - clever baby

She's only 7 weeks and 3 days old (and solid black) so we're taking her to the vet today for a check over and also because we think she's maybe got a wee urine infection - she has a yellow creamy discharge and doing small pees in quick succession. But she is still running around crazy, eating like a horse, and drinking so it doesnt seem to be affecting her.

She was sleeping when my family arrived yesterday and she looked so innocent and peaceful - boy, did they get a shock when she woke up! She was crazy (wouldnt want her any other way ).  Really glad she has met a good mix of people already.

sraghunath1 - we got her from a breeder near Barnsley - a long journey but worth it

She looks so cute.... reminds me of our Harvey at that age... was she from a local breeder in Scotland or did you travel south?

Harvey came from Northumberland

She came from a breeder in south yorkshire.  It's the 2nd litter from the same mating and we met the 1year old sister from the last litter, she and the dam are lovely dogs, both have an amazing nature.

We've had her to the vet and he's reckons she maybe does have a UTI but would prefer to see if it sorts itself out in the first instance - i'm happy with this as i dont want to put a 7 week old pup on antibiotics if i can get away with it.  We've to drop in a urine sample tomorrow which will be tested straight away and if he feels it wont sort itself he'll give her antibiotics then - i'm so pleased with the new vet, he's very proactive and seemed genuinely interested in giving her a thorough check (i'm such a worrywort after Kintra).

Will take more pics tonight and post them tomorrow.  I must apologise in advance, i'll be inundating this forum with photos of her

She is adorable! And so little! Good luck with that new beginning!

Re UTIs/discharge, all my puppies (3 so far) had them, very common and usually not a thing to worry about, but I think it's always best to consult a vet. Discharge could also be a vaginitis, my first dog had that discharge until she was spayed and then it all cleared up. UTIs, worms, and diarrhea, the bane of a puppy's existence, thankfully, in a few months all will be well :)

Enjoy! BTW I love that wood floor!
