This is not a good week for me and the gsp gang. Doddi's leg is better but today Belle was chasing Hunter and she ran into the plow truck parked in the yard. She cut her leg just under her knee about 2 inches across and all the way down to her wrist. I immediately raced to the vet. Thankfully she took her right in. They made me sit down as they said I was as white as a ghost. I got her back, 20+ stitches and meds.

Guess the new fence project for the spring will be in afterburner as soon as the weather breaks. I parked the darned truck way off to the side and they just seem to like running around the stupid thing. I just can't win.

She's pretty sore right now but snuggled up with my son. Thank you God for letting the injury not be as bad as it looked.

Soooo sorry to hear about Belle and her cut newly stitched leg. Injury happens so fast and sometimes you have to react so fast by the end when you end up in the Vets office all the emotion sets in , you feel like crying or passing out turning white as a ghost!! I went thru that very same thing with Poge, our first GSP. Only he cut his leg jumping into a city park pond with broken glass. Rush to the Vet for stitches and had too wear a cast as Poge had a cut thur a tendon. Poge recovered good as new!!! Pray all goes well with Belle and you don't have too much trouble keeping her calm and resting till she heals.

Molly got zqpped last year by a falling icicle. Couldn't have done a cleaner job if it was a scalpel. The hardest part is keeping them quiet.

Thanks and yes, it's next to impossible. It was just so nasty. Looked like her skin was an old sock sliding off her leg. She's sore but happy.

I'll have to get a picture of Belle wearing her cone. We had to use it because at night she keeps eating the bandages off. Luckily no stitches though.
