Actually, he had just eaten a big bowl of plums--with a couple of peaches thrown in for good measure!

I think my avatar photo of Chelsea and the late lamented Jasper shows them both smiling as well.

You actually feed him that?!?! LOL! I know exactly what you mean. Sadie recently learned to say, "Turkey? What Turkey? I don't see any turkey." Luckily she was too thin before she ate it, and she needed the protein! She ate a part of the drumstick though, and that's my Dad's favorite part! We decided not to tell him :P

It is watching the dogs work that I thoroughly enjoy, and love. I could get by with just watching them work - if it weren't for all the training, and the joy they exhibit when they pick-up, and deilver to hand a bird that they pointed, and you shot. - Todd

We are on our 3rd shorthair and they are all very different. The oldest Trego our first BK(before kids) was a world class snuggler, but not a kisser. Our second Stella loves to please us, but is the least affectionate and mostly says her hellos and lays on her own, but kisses. Stella tries to snuggle sometimes, but at 3.5 y/o she is just learning how to completely relax when snuggling. Our newest Cha Cha loves all people snuggles, relaxes, kisses, but will sometimes choose to sit by herself. Have had all since puppyhood. I would say most shorthairs are very affectionate, but some may not be. For us the most affectionate was also the most stubborn. So you take the good with the bad!

sheilak:  Thanks!  I wouldn't mind shrinking a bit! I keep joking that I want to lose the same amount that he gains by Christmas.  I don't think I can keep up at the rate he is going!
