I recently ordered some pet supplies, which of course I promptly removed from the box.  Alas, I did not remove the box, but left it in the living room.  The next day I noticed that the promotional leaflets were in the middle of the room.   ?????   And the box was empty.

Where did the packing peanuts go?    I assume they were the corn-starch type that dissolve in water, but still. . .No ill effects.

Yes, I never leaving packing peanuts in the house.  The dogs would eat them all . . . and well that kind of scares me . . . but they have never had any issues with a few they have gobbled down.  Hope your pups do okay!

Too funny (sorry, I don't mean to laugh).  My last dog, Sophie, one time ate all of her fluff out of her pillow.  Funny thing was that we didn't realize it until... well... it started coming out (let's leave it at that).  She was hiding the hole, and would eat it when we would leave (never while we we were home)!

Couple of trips to the vet later... and a successfull (thank God!) surgery...  and the vet handed me a bill for $1600, along with a gallon zip-lock bag full of about 2.5 lbs of (gently used) fluff.  Just to answer your question, YES, $1600 IS a lot for a bag of 2.5 lbs of fluff, let alone to have a dog DEstuffed!

Be glad it is packing-peanuts!  Sophie would eat about anything.  It was always exciting to walk around our back-yard...  watches (still ticking...), a sock...

It is watching the dogs work that I thoroughly enjoy, and love. I could get by with just watching them work - if it weren't for all the training, and the joy they exhibit when you pick-up a bird that they pointed. - Todd

This summer Bo ate about six of my used menstrual pads. Called the emerg vet (of course, becaue they never do this stuff during regular working hours) as long as the were used, he should be okay. Within 24 hours he had barfed up 3 of them, the next day 2 more and 6 weeks later, the last one.

Yes dogs do eat the things we wish they wouldn't.  Just yesterday, I go in the back yard, my neighbor is out there and Maple is out there at the fence wagging her tail with, of all things, my underwear in her mouth!  Argh!  Thankfully they were not chewed up yet.

I guess mine are boring too, although Ringo and Fauna did think it was a good game to play grab and run with mon's yarn the other night. What they didn't understand is that when you grab and run with yarn, mom turns into a mad and scary lady.  I don't think they like that game any more.

Kintra liked to steal underwear out of the laundry basket (particularly mine ) and run around the garden with it (blocking out the sun ).  Her other favourite habit was to de-stuff all of her soft toys but purely for the fun of it - she never actually ate it, just spat the stuffing out all over the house and garden.  I got to the stage where i didnt bother sewing up her toys anymore because i thought maybe there was some instinctual method to her destuffing - she was so methodical!

Mine love to destuff toys. They don't eat the stuffing they just enjoy making the house look like it has snowed inside. It usually starts though because they want to kill the squeaker. My baby, Fauna, and her mother, Halo, love to carry stuffed toys around too, so I have taught my boy, Ringo, to leave certain toys alone. He is the one that starts the destuffing process. He knows if I tell him that something is a baby toy he is not supposed to mess with it. It has actually worked pretty well too.

Bless their hearts, mine concentrate on eviscerating their toys.  Here's Humphrey-the-Ripper (and eater):

Mine will rip apart a toy with stuffing...but it worries me so I don't buy them...they leave the stuffed animals that are on my son's bed alone...

Bentley was never really that bad, a blessing i hadn't realised until I got Keira. She is a right little monkey for bringing me...well everything! Dirty and clean washing, clothes, tissue paper, toilet roll, sticks from the garden. Of course I always priase her for bringing them to me and take them off her but seriously...!!

I always really appreciated the fact that Kintra never ate dog poo (her own or any others ), and after working at a kennels for a few months i came to realise just how many dogs do this.  She did however manage to eat human poo on a few occasions - personally i thinks that's even worse than eating dog poo.  We went hillwalking early last year in Skye and on coming back down we stopped at a gate into the carpark to find her eating what looked like chocolate wrapped in a napkin.  We took it straight from her only for my other half to start retching upon realising by the stench that it was human poo ( a small child's i think).  Of course the fact that we were campervanning at the time made it worse because for the rest of the that day the van stank of human poo from her breath.  That and the fact she probably gave us slobbery kisses during the night while we're asleep.  She also on occasion found human poos at the riverside where i live (dirty fishermen i think ) and could also sniff out a filled nappie from miles away and proceed to throw it around enticing us to chase her.

After telling you the above, i should probably clarify that there are in fact toilets in Scotland and that there isnt poo everywhere, just some unlucky daytrippers with young children who couldnt hold it in - but the dirty fishermen have no excuse

Oye these stories!!
Bugsy is boring - hahaha well no that is a lie BUT the only thing he ate that was yucky was as a pup he ate a rope toy. I didn't know until we were out walking and he went to poo and it was a multicolored toy that of course I had to help him get rid of (gag!)
Other than that nothing bizarre - he has always destroyed all toys instantly but he doesn't eat the wreckage.
Heck yesterday we walked past an entire meal from Wendy's - burger, fries and shake. he was off leash and went over, sniffed it, considered a fry but moved on without even a lick.

It's Bugsy's world...

Yesterday morning, I was laying in bed and hear Dax getting ready to puke. Out comes an oddly shaped, brown, hairy thing. Couldn't figure out what the heck it was for quite a while. Turns out it was the foot to one of their stuffed toys. He usually doesn't eat them but this one wasn't as lucky I guess

From earlier this summer ...

Bo ate about six used menstrual pads. He barfed up the first three during a dinner with friends. Fortunately, they are GSP people and were like, "So that's the entertainment for the evening?". He threw up two more about a week later. And the last one about 6 weeks after the fact. GROSS!
