 I need good vibes please.

Yesterday Hogan was vomiting and had really bad diarrhoea with lots of blood. I took him to the vet and they have said he either has a bacterial infection/virus or has eaten something dodgy because it has caused him to have haemmoragic gastro enteritus (basically bloody inflammation of the stomach and intestines).

They admitted him and put him on an IV drip overnight to try to re-hydrate him. I'm waiting from a call for the vet now, I phoned earlier this morning and they said he was still on the drip and had had diarrheoa overnight.

I cried all the way home when I had to leave him in the vets as he screamed as they took him in the back, he is a real mummys boy.

Please send all your good vibes his way

I'm so very sorry to hear this about your sweet boy. Hogan has many prayers and positive thoughts winging their way from Michigan. God Bless.

Oh my I am sending lots of good vibes for Hogan! I just went thru a scare with Striker...he was lazy when I got home and not really wanting to eat (he did but slowly)...I took him to the vet and he had a high fever...since he wasn't vomiting they didn't keep him over night but they xrayed to make sure he didn't eat something and it got stuck they did 2 kinds of blood work....nothing was showing up as unusual...so they hydrated him with the fluids under the skin and gave him antibiotics...ended up being an abscess in his mouth...I was so relieved he was normal the next morning! I hope what ever it is with Hogan will pass quickly!

sending our very best to you and Hogan!!
Bugsy had colitis this summer with terribly bloody diarrhea and they were able to give him something that cleared it fairly quickly so praying they can do the same for Hogan!!

It's Bugsy's world...

Sending good thoughts your way that Hogan gets better very fast!  It is always hard to leave them at the vet.  Keep us posted.

Hi guys, a little update. I went to pick Hogan up at about 5pm (my time) and he was over the moon to see me! He was SO much better than when I left him there. He has been re-dyrated and although he had diarrheoa through the night he hasn't been sick/had diarrheoa today.

I've taken him home with some anti-diarrhoea paste to have twice a day and an order for boiled chicken and rice diet for a few days!

He is so happy to be home and won't leave my side! Thanks for all the good vibes guys they obviously worked !!!

Wonderful news!! Give HRH a hug and kiss from his TX friends. So very glad he is doing well. I know how worried you were.

Glad to hear the wee man's feeling a lot better  isnt it funny how after all the panic, dread and worry you go through when somethings wrong with them, they just look at you like "whats up with you? walks please!! dinner please !!". As if nothing's happened

always so scary when our furry snugglers are sick. So happy to her he's feeling better! Hope he continues to improve and whatever it was, doesn't return. :)
