So jealous! The closest you'll be to me is at least a 10 hour drive. Hopefully you'll be able to meet up with some other forum members.

I might also suggest...something completely different. GSP National Specialty Show is in Phoenix, AZ around the third week of April. You could fly into LA, go to the attractions out there (tho no Elvis birthplace in Memphis of course-but Memphis is my birthplace too, so I claim kinship), Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World and then rent a car and drive over to Phoenix for the NSS, and then fly out to New York for a few days also...

It is just a day's drive from LA to Phoenix too...or 2 hrs via air..

I agree, come to the NSS. Many of us will be there with our dogs so you would definitely get the most bang for your buck if you want to meet GSPs and GSP owners. Also, you have the Grand Canyon within easy driving distance for sightseeing and that is one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen.

If you really want a real entire USA visit it would be a good idea to fly in somewhere and then fly all over...like fly to Las Angles California , then Phoenix Arizona (GSP NSS) go to the Grand Canyon, fly to Memphis Tennessee for Elvis, fly to Chicago IL to see Chicago and me!, fly to New York or Pennsylvania and meet everyone up there!

I love Elvis but that doesn't mean I'm old! :) I love his song "hound dog".

German Shorthaired Pointer training is something I need to put in my mind and heart to make it successful.

I would love to come to the NSS but MUST go to Memphis as I am travelling with my Dad and that is his whole reason for coming to the US.

Random - but does anyone know if there are any golf related events on around that date (masters etc?) I could lose him for a few days and do some visiting of my own!

Sorry but Hogan won't be joining me, I would love to have brought him and hunted with him but the logistics of flying over don't work.

The Masters is being played April 2-8 in Augusta Georgia. Beautiful golf course!

Right... so we are nearly all planned and our plans have changed a little bit!

We are flying into Miami, driving up the east coast of florida, through Orlando, up to Nashville, the finally to Memphis where we will be flying home.

So if anyone lives near those areas it would be great to meet up!

That may be too early in the season to head out camping leaving from the north...the campers are still winterized at that time...I was hoping for a srping date... Oh well, have fun!!!
