So, fall is here....and along with fall comes many different hunting seasons. I usually save some scraps from the deer we shoot to give to the dogs, including meaty bones (legs, shoulders, etc). Are there any other scraps that I can give them? Is it worth keeping certain organs like the heart and liver for them? Also is it bad for them to have some fat from the deer? When I was butchering deer last year, I let Dax out in the garage with me and as much as he LOVED the raw meat he really seemed obsessed with trying to eat scraps of fat too.

I know this will sound gross -
we feed venison liver, heart, lungs, fat and scrap meat
we feed game bird legs, heart, liver
