Interesting to see all the responses! I al glad to know that my pup is not the only Rebel. I wonder if we triained him more would he be different. But then again, a personality is kinda hard to break.. oh well.

Aww, but he's such a good boy. Why would you want to change him?

Joce - you are right - he is good boy and I don't REALLY want to change him. But I have a feeling that compared to most dogs on this site, he is probably not very well behaved. It is true what the description says about "the rebel dog" not being focused on the owner. He loves me and all, but he doesn't always obey and is very distractable.

But there again, we don't do any hunting or training with him, so I guess I can't expect amazing behavior. I know that many of the people on this site put A LOT of time into training and hunting, so it stands to reason that their dogs would be better behaved than Osiris. But what I do also think is that they are born with a certain type of behavior that will always show to some extent.

Adelaide is a defender.

Lucy is a
DREAMER
Your dog is a Spontaneous, Beta and Medium Activity type which we call the Dreamer. The Dreamer is disorganised, socially and mentally. It lacks the energy to assert an active social challenge but may challenge a very easy going owner or dog over some prized resource such as the couch or a bone, perhaps curling its lip or snarling occasionally. It enjoys freeform pastimes such as watching TV or sniffing about off lead most of all.

Carol - I'm sure my dogs could have better manners and could listen to me like 50% of the time (instead of 25%). But they do their most important job best -- loving and cuddling with me.
