He had a bump develop last Friday and after several vet visits he will have it removed tomorrow. They believe it is a soft tissue sarcoma although that won't be confirmed and we won't know what type until 7-10 days from tomorrow.
Its on his rear haunch right on top of the pelvic bone. Our hope is that they don't have to do too invasive a surgery to get it all, apparently these types of tumors have deep roots.
He has been my challenge for over 5 years now and I am so invested in him that this is killing me. Thus if you can spare a thought and a prayer we would all appreciate it.
I love this overgrown beast way too much

thank you all - he is out of surgery. The tumor was very deep, they cut down to the bone with the hopes that it is all out. If the margins aren't clear he will have to go to the vet school oncology dept for further surgery.
I won't know much else until the lab info comes back
The vet sounded ominous though - I am not ready to lose this boy he has way too much joy and life to be taken down so young |
