Omi gave birth early this morning to 10 healthy puppies - we think she has finished now but you never know! 9 bitches and 1 dog! I have pick bitch so I am going to have quite a few to choose from! Enjoy the pics

Awwww, look at all those little girls and guy. Mom looks a bit tired - wonder why. ;-) Looking forward to watching them grow.

Those first pictures made me think of a bunch of baby rodents with them all being the same color and their long tails! :0) They are very cute! Thanks for sharing pictures!

For those that might be interested - a video of Omi having her last, tenth puppy! The pup makes an appearance at around 8 minutes if you don't want to watch the whole thing!

How precious! You must be SO excited!! And I had a laugh about "defrosting" a partridge... just sounds funny! Reminds me of a summer camp I worked at. We had birds of prey at the camp and they ate rats and mice that we kept frozen. For some reason, the rat freezer was in the same area as the "Camp Store" where kids could come to buy drinks and snacks, etc. Once, I went to get a popsicle out and opened the rat freezer and one fell out - luckily they were wrapped in black plastic, but the kid was like "What's THAT..." Ummmm... nothing!! LOL

Congrats Shelley!! Just remember they are the most like what they will be when they grow up at 8 weeks plus or minus a couple of days. So, hang in there and get your hands on them stacking from about 4 weeks on. Trust me, you will be able to tell so much about their structure the more you stack them and work with them. Have a fun with all those puppies.

A little update: We have 4 pups a little small so they are being supplemented, we thought we would lose one but she seems to have picked up now. They all went to the vets today and were checked over, they were also docked and dew claws removed. Shelley - I love both pictures, but especially that second one of you and HRH. Now have you told him "Hell's a comin'!" I used to tell my girls that when Ringo was on the way. Of course he is named after Johnny Ringo, the outlaw in Tombstone. If you don't know that is a quote from Tombstone, but it was used to describe the Earps. I just thought it was right for my boy at the time. The puppies are so cute. Can't wait until they start looking like little dogs instead of hamsters. Do you get to see them frequently?
