Tomorrow we're heading out for our first dock dogs event of the season! This will also be Remi's first time jumping!
I signed the girls up for 4 waves each, and just one for Remi as of now. If he jumps, I'll sign him up for a couple more on site. If he takes to the dock like he did at the cabin, I have a feeling I'll be shelling out some more money to jump him!
So, wish us luck! We're heading to Huron, South Dakota...will update on facebook during the weekend!  |

| Good luck and take lots of photos .I just love watching them jump.I have traveled and seen Beths dogs jump and you can see the team spirit in all the dogs and handlers. (been far east ) |

| Wahooo. Go Remi! Welcome to the "every dog in my family needs to be a dock jumper" Syndrome! LOL. Next weekend we will be having 5 of our 6 trying to jump. I say Trying as Cody I am not sure will jump. He may not so gracefully fall in but jump.....we will see. LOL |

Do I have some big news for you guys!!!!!
Some of you already saw on facebook, but I figured I should share with the rest of you here!!!
He jumped.
He jumped BIG!
He jumped BIG enough to win the entire event!!!! 
I am SO proud of my boy!!! He started the weekend with a jump of 13'10" which is a pretty awesome start for any dog. He ended the weekend with a personal best of 22'8"!!!!!!!!! Not many dogs can walk on the dock and pull out a huge jump like that, let alone in their first event!!! He was the only dog to jump over 22' which put him in the "PRO" division. I am one proud momma!!! He jumped against A LOT of labs, and 2 other GSP's that were 3 years old.
You'll see a big grin across my face for the entire week I'm sure!!!!

Huge congrats!!! You are right, you definitely do not see a dog progress on the dock so much over one weekend, at their very first event! The only other one I can think of in my 6 years of dock jumping would be, guess what, another GSP named Seven. He did the same thing at his first event, and ended up I believe winning the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge that same year.
