Oh, too cute! Those eyes! I can see why you had to save him :)

He is beautiful! Did you ever call the breeder about the shape you found him in? I would have tracked him down through the paper work. I can't believe that pet stores don't get in trouble for having animals in cages and not taking care of them like that! Thanks again for rescuing him!

Beautiful dog. I am glad you took the chance on him. My second dog came from the Dumb Friends League. I learned within two days that there was something wrong with her but I could not bear to send her back. Spent over a thousand on vet bills but she was worth every penny.

I did track down the breeder.  I called them repeatedly and left voicemails.  They would never call me back and they didn't answer my letter either.  I think it was one of those back yard things that resulted in a litter of pups.  They weren't really breeders at all.

A real breeder never would let a pup go to a pet store in the first place!

Hi Patty from Claudia in Australia.

I have to thank you fellow humanoid for taking on our ailing canine friend Spot. Quite amazing that they would just keep a sick animal like that in a pet store. What are they thinking??? Anyhow just wanted to acknowledge your gesture and also say what a gorgeous pooch you got yourself. Well worth the 400 bucks, vet bills and tears I a sure. I also have a rescue GSP, he was a stray for a long while apparently so no history on him. He may even be a pure breed who knows but we adopted him because we saw his potential to be a great family dog and even though he keeps us REALLY on our toes we adore him!

Look forward to more interactions with you and the lucky Spot!!

Oh my gosh, that face!!!  How could anyone walk past him and not snuggle him away home?  He's adorable.

Welcome to the board!

I figured that's what you were going to say. A REAL breeder would stand behind his pups. Thanks again for saving him. I am sure Spot thanks you too!

He is absolutely beautiful. The story brought me to tears. You did a very good thing. What a wonderful home he is in now.
