| GSP's unlike Dalmations are SPECTACULAR with kids!!!!!The first book I ever read on GSP's, KNOW YOUR GERMAN SHORTHAIR POINTER, had a whole chapter devoted on how great GSP's are with children. GREAT PICS Meg and Unowhoandwhy!!! Maybe it is because GSP"S keep their puppy attitude all their lives as seen in Tucker's pics from Way North MN!!!! |

We don't have any kids, but from Day 1 Bo has recognized that little people (and little dogs) need special consideration. He always makes sure he gets to their level (instead of 2 feet like with us  ) lying on the ground to "chat" if necessary. |

Because my kids are pretty much grown, this is the best I can do for kids & GSPs. Some of the kids in these pics aren't even mine but where playing with my babies when they were babies.
This is a little girl who showed Rose at her 1st UKC puppy match. I'm not even sure who her parents were but she won with her & it made her day! Rose was only 3 1/2 months there.
Here is a pic of a puppy (Gandalf) I used to own with my friends daughter.

Here is the only other pic I can find with 1 of my dogs & a kid. This is that same little girl (Tiffany) who showed Rose. I let her take Hunter into juniors because she had never done it & didn't have a dog to show. This is Rose & my Hunter. Hunter is the most wonderful boy in the world. He loves everybody with 2 or 4 legs except my Desi. Any child no matter how big or small can show Hunter with ease. This was taken on my birthday.

Kids and dogs...who can resist? Here are some of mine.
Ranger is a very good listener.
He loves to pose for Christmas photos too.
Of course he loves to run outside with his boys too. Kinda wimpy in the cold, however.
