Asher will be a year old next week. At least that is what I started out calling him. Asher means fortunate and blessed and he was to be a constant reminder to me that I am indeed fortunate and blessed. Very quickly, he earned the nickname Asher the Crasher, because he goes so hard in to everything.
Tonight was a perfect example...
It was a rainy day and night in Georgia and the dogs had been cooped up all day. It let up, so I let them out for a few to take care of business before bed. I needed to dry them off downstairs and left the door open. Asher knew it was almost food time and came dashing in the door (he is supposed to wait for me to tell him to come in) and hits the concrete basement floor with his wet paws, can't stop and goes sliding about 15 feet across the basement floor and crashes into an empty plastic trash can. The lid comes flying off, lands on him, and scares him, so he gets up and goes running back outside barking like the boogy man was after him.
This is why, 98% of the time he is called "Crasher" instead of Asher. I was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe! Fortunate and blessed indeed! |

I can just see all that happening. Fortunately, everything around here is carpeted and Lucy can stop on a dime; otherwise, she'd be in the same boat as the "Crasher". ;-) |

| Gun and Drake have mastered the whole running and sliding into the kitchen without hitting my cabinets. My whole house is tile and hardwood with only a big throw rug in the living room. Pretty funny. |

| Haha! That is great! We have a cat and no carpet in our house...everything is tile or hardwood....Levi slips and slides all over the place chasing our poor cat!! We too will joke calling him a drifting machine! |

too funny - we actually think we should have called Bugsy Kramer from Seinfeld as he so often slides into the picture. Once at about 10 mos old he decided to run zoomies in the house and slid down the hallway (hardwood) and right into the glass and wrought iron table. Glass blew up, frame took chunks out of the walls and the floor and Bugsy just looked like wow didn't see that coming! |

| The best is when they're trying to get away or come to you really fast and end up staying in one spot with their legs moving at top speed! Cracks me up! |

| Bentley does this all the time. If he's in the kitchen when I come home I open the door and he just stops, freezes, in place watching me...watching him...watching me...this stare out goes on for a few min with his ears alternating dropping back and forward from excited to not sure. Tail twitching. As soon as I move an INCH, his tail becomes a blur, feet and legs become a blur and he slip/slides his way along the laminate flooring to crash into me for some back scratching and neck rubbing. Cracks me up everytime. |
