I posted these a little while ago, they're very touching and very true. :)

The worst thing about losing Jasper last fall is that he died while I was at work.  He deserved to have my voice be the last thing he heard and my hands the last thing he felt.

But Jasper knew how much you loved him and cared for him all that time, I'm sure. They don't forget. I hope you can find some comfort in that.

I love that - helps me to calm down when Windsor is acting up.

Thanks Caryl for posting. I have seen this so many times, but it is a good reminder and it never ceases to bring tears to my eyes.

I've been having a rough time at work and come home more burnt out than normal and lately it shows. Windsor senses it and sometimes it's been tough with him at home but today was a good day - we had a great walk, some ball time, he then entertained himself for quite a while and now? He's on the couch right next to me with his head on my lap as I try to balance the laptop on the armrest of the couch. This is when all is well with the world. He loves me no matter what, unconditionally, and I really like our pass out time together :) He sleeps a good part of the day so I come home to his hyper time which goes on for hours. I don't get mad at him but he can definitely sense when I've had a rotten day. And the other night when I came home not feeling well he snuggled with me on the couch. First he kept putting his paws on my face gently and then he settled down right next to me.
