His coat felt so silky after I used it last night. Then this morning - more shedding. I used it again and got a lot more hair - can I use it every day? He loves it. When he saw me taking it out this morning he couldn't wait. We do it outside and he'll just stand real still for me. Then I spray him with Vets Best Vitamin E and aloe so he smells good and is shiny. Then we had egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast :O

You can use it daily. I have never even come close to having a bald dog.

I used the slicker part (on the other side of it) on the cat - she loved it and I got alot of her hair off with it too. Yep - been using it daily - one of the best things I bought - thanks again!

Kim, if you really want to get to the root of his shedding problem, try Dinovite canine nutritional supplement for dogs. Go to their website arnd read their testamonials. I have used it for my dog Chelsea, and it works. I  just ordered some for Wendy. It is great stuff.

Sad to say for our Wisconsin GSPs have not had signs of shedding yet with temps in the 30's highs in the 40s , recent Snow storm Dana that dumped over 10 inches of snow. Farmers are 3 weeks behind in getting out in their fields to plant. Most snow fall in Wisconsin in 100 years.  But I just love the tips on this thread when we do if ever warm up and Rocky begins to shed.

Thanks for all the great advice on here! I was at the pet store today buying food and the lady told me that these dogs usually have two good blow outs a year. She said no matter what supplement I try, with the change in season here he'll still shed. Wish there was some kind of glue shampoo to keep it all stuck to him LOL!

I can't believe it's still snowing in Wisconsin - I thought we had a bad winter. Most snow I've ever seen. I didn't mind the snow so much but I hated the ice and the ice dams but we lucked out and had no damage. So many people I know had water damage to their homes and many roofs collapsed on commercial buildings here. Right now we are dealing with rain every single weekend. I'm hoping things will change in May and warm up a little and see some sunshine. Right now it's not raining but just gloomy and raw outside.
