Received an email from our breeder and the puppies have arrived.
12 puppies to be exact. 8 females and 4 males.
We have always wanted a black roan female and it looks like our wish has come true.
SEVEN black roan females.

| Nice! I am disgusted here. The breeder who I was supposed to be getting my girl from lost all but 4 pups. Then he gave someone else the first pic female. There was only 1 female born. I had the first pic option last year, but as litter and litter and litter didn't produce, I guess I don't know why I lost pic. He didn't produce the dog I wanted so I shouldn't have lost the pic. JMO- I am bummed pretty bad right now! |

I don't know much about GSP's yet but I have seen bith Diva and Rev and they were sure impressive! You should have yourself one roaring lil'diva on your hands. Can't wait to see pics of her growing up!

What beautiful puppies!
I am waiting for this one last chance. The other pups are due any day from another litter. He's not even positive that she is really pregnant. OMG I can't take this. Get all wound up and excited then crushed. After this time I am done and will be on the market for a new one! |

They are SOOOOO CUTE! Your pictures are killing me!!! I haven't got a pic of our new girl yet. I don't think the owner of the bitch has a computer! We are getting her from the sires owner, he has 1st pick and we want another dog from his male.
Hang in there Ace, things happen for a reason and maybe a dog from this breeder wasn't meant to be. We waited over 2 years to get the female we have coming, and ended up with another female and a male  |

| Are his dogs having small litters or are the pups dying. I'm surprised that he thinks he is expecting pups but is not even sure that the dog is pregnant. Is his operation big enough that it is subject to USDA inspections. I checked the kennel of a dog that I was thinking of buying before Molly and found out that the kennel had all kinds of infractions. |

He has a huge business. Like 12 female gsp and a few males, plus numbers of others for his guided hunts. He has other breeds too.
Most of this litter died I guess she had problems. Alot of the litters are small though. I think he's breeding too often or something. |

Sounds like if over breeding is an issue and causing smaller litters, maybe you should look at other breeders. JMO
Have you looked at Grouse Point Kennels?
I like what I see coming out of there, and I think that they will have a litter on the ground shortly.'
What I have found is a lot of breeders are looking for owners who are willing to commit some time to have their pups tested and proven. If somebody is not willing to make that commitment, some breeders will shy away from potential buyers. If you are willing to make that commitment, make sure that the breeder is aware of your plans whether it is AKC, NAVHDA, or whatever venue you choose.
This may improve your chances of finding that perfect puppy, as well as the satifaction of a well trained dog who is a pleasure to hunt over. |
