Yes it is the same Jason for whom it was a pleasure to take care of Tucker for a few days. It was great to have him. When you folks came in to my kitchen it was awesome. His "personality" seemed to come out instantly. Like it was destiny. He was fun to have with us and he is
great but I never saw him so excited as when you came. I was totally thinking "wow he is acting like a puppy". Bless you. I am so happy for you and Tucker.
Gsp_lab my first choice was a GSP, well actually I had a deposit on a GSP out of NADKC from DKV imports. I split up with my girlfriend and started driving truck. I wanted a companion and couldn't see myself having enough time to train and was also worried a bit about the prey drive while being out
on the road. I was right, I haven't been hunting since i started driving... Next year all my student loans will be paid and I can move out of my parents house and get off the road and I will definitely be getting another GSP. I think my dobie is actually going to turn out as a great hunting dog.
he has a great nose and is really birdie. go figure. I cant wait to see how he reacts to the puppy in a year or so.
I am glad to be back!
I am sorry it took so long to respond, being a driver it is hard to get to the internet as often as I would like.
God Bless

Welcome back Jason, You sound like an awesome young man!!! Your Dobie seems like a sweet heart travel partner. So happy you were the link to break the distant travel for Tucker to get in his new Forever Home!!! Awesome heart warming story. We have 2 son's in their 20s and both are few years out of college working good jobs to pay bills, house, car utilities ect. and both survived last year a break up with girl friends. Life is moving on for both of them. Pray that all works out for you and your Dobie on the road.
Congrats Tucker to your new addition to the pack!!! Oh!! 8 months old must be a ball of energy!! How does poor Senior Tucker tolerate that????

It wasn't good at first. Gunner was 4 months when we got him so pretty obnoxious by then. Tucker doesn't have a mean bone in him & he would try to act tough but Gunner just climbed all over him. We had to watch him close. After a couple weeks Tucker started wanting to play with him, so even though Gunner gets a little rough sometimes he seems to be learning when he has had enough & leaves him alone. Tucker sleeps a lot now so that is pretty boring to Guns!!!LOL

So, does this mean you are out of the GSP business for awhile?
Never was in it... But when I had to put Pippen down it broke my heart. I'm sorry to hear about Tucker but I'm also glad to hear his last
years were his best. The way dogs sense things will never cease to amaze me. I would have been happy to keep the gentleman. He was
a very polite good ol' boy. When you picked him up the way he jumped and how happy to see you, I saw fate. I also saw that he
knew my kindness was temporary and he knew where he belonged. I'm not trying to be sentimental but wow! Lewis had more run than any
GSP I ever saw and he wasn't a GSP. Now he lives on a small ranch and has a job and kids. He exercises the horses and loves and protects the
kids.
