Splat - I got a bounce back on the email address. Can you verify? Also, where did you find the info as it still isn't up on the website?

OMG! There is no electric hook up at these sites! Also no water...which isn't so bad cuz I do have a tank and I can survive with no sewer too, but no electric that's a bit nuts...I may have to reconsider how many days we will be there and plan to be there the day we need to have Striker there...By camping you are not given the benefits of the pool or anything which is fine with me accept my husband and kids will get bored especially with no electric which means no TV and no video games....

When Sharon replied she said I should understand cuz it was such a great rate...I am not sure where she gets that from cuz $30 a night for no amenities is not a deal....

I have not shared this info with the husband, so I will keep you updated...

My parents do have a generator but it is def not a quiet one!

I take my Honda generators, so I am ok without electric. Did you ask her if there was a dump station near or any place to get water? I can make it a week without water or a dump station, but it is close. I usually take bottled water too. Everyone uses generators and frankly they don't bother me, so borrow your parent's generator.

Friday or Saturday can't remember which day...

I will look into borrowing the generator if it doesn't have to be a quiet one...

I didn't ask about getting water tanks filled or a dump station...didn't think about it....she kind of scared me in the reply email....I can dump at my house cuz we have septic...but you really shouldn't drive with the water tank filled though we only have 2 hours to drive....

I got a reply. No dumping or water available. I will fill up and dump on the road the night before I get there. That is what I did when I went to the 2009 Nationals. Had to drive the last day with my clean water tank full, but it wasn't bad. I will also bring bottle water to use for drinking and cooking, that way I will only use my clean tank water for shower/toilet. I can make it a week if I am careful. I may go to the hunt test that is an hour away and stay at the KOA Camp there for Friday and Sat nights before moving down to the Olympia.

I am getting excited now that we are getting closer. Can't wait to meet everyone.

oh maybe we will go to the koa for the hunt test days...that would be very nice!

I will sit with my husband and figure stuff out tonight...I think we can go all week even with all 4 of us...I think I'll tell my grandma to stay home...I am sure there are port-a-potties on the grounds that we can use for most of the time...

I received the Shorthair Journal Jan/ Feb issue last wednesday. Really looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying all the dogs. The Olympia does have a dog park so kids and parents can have lots of fun exercising with the dogs. Will be fun to see all the GSPs, other dog sisters and brothers who come along to meet and greet. Yes , I can adopt a few bored RV camper kids to come along with me to swim at the pool if we keep it on the down low!! I don't think the Olympia will mind if kids are with a registered guest???  I want you to know I will be there to welcome you and do what ever I can do to make your trip to Wisconson Fun, relaxing and the best show dog place you can be. You can PM me closer to the date for any questions you have to adapt to Wisconsin for the first week in May. I LOVE WINE TOO!! Will be bringing some along. So excited!!!Can't wait!!

I chatted with the hubby...

We are still going...but we will go camp at the KOA in fond du lac WI near where the hunting stuff is going on from Saturday April 30 till Monday May 2 (We might go up on the Friday)...then my husband and kids and I will "camp" at the show grounds for one night....I will stay then at the show grounds camping with the dogs for the rest of the event but the husband and kids will go home...We don't live too far away and this way the kids don't miss too much school....

Marie I am sure the kids would love it if you took them swimming for a bit while they are there, that would be great!

Then my husband and kids will come back for the last day and take me home...
