That almost sounds like what my mother-in-laws GSP used to do, Chelsea used to "hike" rocks, like a football. Was so funny...

Cheyenne sleeps in bed with us. If you move your feet she will growl at them and if you touch her or move the too much she will bark and get up and go sleep somewhere else. She also gets the "rips" in the house. Runs as fast as she can jumps on the couch and bounces off like a ball. Crazy dog! She also likes to stalk our polaris pool cleaner. She likes to bot the tail of it when it gets to the top. Got in big trouble for tearing it up once after catching it.

That's exactly what Max does ! He never hurts the shoes either. Shoes all over the place. Every morning I sit to put on my shoes and he grabs one and takes off. Then I call him back for a perfect retrieve to hand.( wish he did that with birds) LOL! When I bend over to put the other shoe on he knocks my hat off and runs away with it. The he returns it. Does his little pottie dance and we go out for the morning run.

Back when he was young, our dearly departed Kaiser like to have the garden hose squirted at him, and he would bite at the stream of water. Kaiser had the neighbors on either side of the fence trained, so that when they watered their lawns, they would squirt him.

Gator, our present GSP does the shoe thing. I get up before my husband, and let Gator out. When Gator comes in from outside, he runs to my husband's bed, with one slipper in his mouth, and shoves it in my husband's face, waking him up. This happens each and every morning.

Here's a goofy thing that Shiraz does. She LOVES having her body covered by a blanket while she's sleeping (either on our laps or in our bed). She'll heat up, uncover herself, do some heavy panting for a couple minutes, and then back under the covers for another round. What a goof!

The ever evolving GSP puppy . . . they never stop.  My new puppy Java, now 4 1/2 months old is always coming up with new things to occupy her.  Since she is so young, I make her come in whatever room I am in, which includes the bathroom.  Now she has started, if I am taking a bath, she will knock the shampoo bottles into the water and start batting at them to watch them bob up and down.  If you are taking a shower, she sticks her head around the shower curtain and starts trying to catch the water spray!  Also, when you let the water out of the tub, she likes to jump in and watch it go down.  I guess she is wondering where it is all going.

Unlike my other GSP and lab, she LOVES it when you get the squirt bottle out.  Our border collie loves the squirt bottle too.  He also attacks the sprinkler when it is on outside.  Guess I now have a GSP who will do the same thing!

Gunner does the shower thing too... Though he knocks stuff in, watches you like a total perv while his whole head gets soaked, and every once in awhile he jumps in with you.

He also jumps in after you're done showering and licks the bathtub. Weirdos ;)

Layla is my little spinning top/teakettle. When she is really excited (every morning when it's time to get up & go outside) she spins & spins & spins while make making this "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" noise that sounds just like a teakettle. It's hilarious.

Both dogs are slipper stealers. They don't want to eat the slippers, they just want the attention that comes when they steal one. :)

I have got a new addition to funniest things. My boy, Uncle Ringo to Fauna, has started playing the bad guy with her when she wants whatever toy he has. He makes a big production of growling and then lifts his lips and shows everyone of his teeth. Now understand he doesn't really mean it because this is part of a play routine they have going on and he will immediately let her take the toy. It is all part of the game they have started playing. When Rose comes over to play I have two puppies playing with Uncle Ringo and his bad cop routine is even funnier. Rose and Fauna worship the ground Uncle Ringo walks on and he is always playing with them and running with them. He also likes to play the bird game with them. One of these days I am going to have my camera handy when he shows his teeth. I am also trying to connect the behavior with a command to see if I can get him to do it on command, because it is really hilarious. I think he is just happy he is not on the bottom of the pack ladder anymore and he also has some playmates that never fuss at him.

Asher has recently started crawling. In the house he knows he has certain areas that are off limits. Whenever he tests the boundaries, I put him back in his area and command him to do a sit/stay. It works really well for my house and the dog area, it's open and he can be with me in the kitchen, breakfast area and and see me in the living room.

Well, in his mind, if he is laying down, I can't see him. So, I'll be sitting here watching football, and see Asher on his stomach and all floors, stealthily sneaking across the room. I will be dying laughing and I know he can hear me, but I think he really thinks he is invisible as long as he is down like that.

Love this category! Our two dogs, Sachi (golden ret.) and Atlas (GSP) will play fight with each other, sometimes with a toy, sometimes just with each other, and it's hilarious. They bob their heads at each other with their teeth showing, not really growling....Sachi kind of moans and Atlas honks like a goose....but you can almost hear them saying "my teeth are bigger than yours!" at each other. And then Sachi will have one end of a rope toy, Atlas the other, and he'll lay down on his side and let Sachi pull him across the living room reeeaaaaallllly slowly. He doesn't even move, just holds on for the ride :)

Bailey likes to "clear" the room. I swear she does this on purpose. She comes over and will literally sit on your feet and fart. Then she turns around and looks at you with the "oops. was that me?" look. Another thing she has done to people that haven't liked her (cat people) or people that have treated her badly, she will go and poop in their room. Specifically to one of our close friends son. Very intelligent breed. :) hehe

Adelaide loves to watch my wife put on her make up in the morning. My wife will "brush" makeup on Adelaide. Adie just LOVES it. It makes me laugh to watch the dog intently watching my wife just waiting for her turn. She is my four legged princess!

Just saw this post. Since I've never been around a GSP or knew much about their traits, I really cracked up when I brought my foster Lucy home and walked in the room and saw her stalking by Betta in the fish tank. :-)

Okay I have another addition.  My GSP puppy Java, now 5 1/2 months old LOVES to steal my pony tail holder.  She caught me today with my hands full trying to pick up one more toy that was on the floor, so she steals my pony tail holder (along with a little of my hair, OUCH) and runs outside with it.  I put the toys in the basket and look out there and she is throwing it up in the air, then pouncing on it, grabbing it to do it all over again.  I know I really need to stop this because I know these can be swallowed and cause lots of issues and also because I will be somewhat bald if I do not.  But it was pretty funny to see her doing this in the yard this morning.

Roz - forgot to mention these puppies have a hair fetish. LOL, my hair is too short for a pony tail so Fauna just grabs at the hair. OUCH!! At least, three other puppies from the litter do similar things too.

Tessa chooses a toy to play with, then gets up on the couch, plays with the toy, chews on the bone, while standing on the backrest of the couch, all the while staring behind the couch, as if to say "Abyss, I dare you!" and eventually, usually sooner than later, drops the toy, bone, whatever into the abyss where it stays until I retrieve it which may be two days later. Much to her dismay. She always acts very surprised. Surely she can't be that dumb! This has been going on for 2 years now.

Tessa - My puppy, Fauna, and her sister (who lives with my mom and dad), Rose, started putting toys under the sofa or behind the sofa and would then proceed to bark at them. They were well on their way to training me to retrieve when it dawned on me what they were doing. So, I continued to retrieve the toy and then made a production about putting it in the basket of toys they can't get too. Took only about two or so more toys before they figured that game wasn't fun anymore.
