I am so glad i am not the only one who lets the dogs sleep in bed with them. I thought it was a cardinal sin. Now that we are talking about it....why do they feel the need to use all 4 legs to PUSH against you as hard as they can to fall asleep?

Oh yeah, good question! And I REALLY need to clip Remi's nails.......He has cat nails!! He pushes against me, then digs his nails into me

Abby starts the night off in her crate, but gets to come in bed when my husband leaves for work until I have to get up. She is a very good and WARM snuggler! During the day she will curl up at my feet, on her doggie bed or mostly on the couch for naps. She will also go in the crate when I am not home.

When we are home, both have free run of the house and sleep wherever they like, even the couch. At night they start out on the couch and then around 2am move upstairs to the bedroom on their beds on the floor in our bedroom. Meeka often tries to sneek onto the bed and is sometimes successful as we have  a Tempurpedic and you cannot feel her creep up. They are allowed on the bed by invitation only for some snuggle time.

When we are at work, Meeka has free run of the house as she has proven reliable. Zelda still gets crated, but she likes her crate. She will even go in there sometimes on her own to get away and rest.

Chelsea sleeps on the bed, under the covers.  Jasper was originally supposed to stay in his bed, but sneaked into mine so often that I gave up and bought a bigger bed.    Now with Humphrey, I am determined to keep him OUT of my bed.  We'll see how this works.    So far he is put in his crate to sleep but he will be permitted to sleep on a dog bed in my room soon.

I never had a dog that slept on the funiture till I got my first GSP, Cheyenne. When its cold she sleeps between me and my wife in bed. She is also the only dog I have ever had that will permitt her head to be covered. She actually sticks he head under the covers sometimes. When its warm the she sleeps on any couch she wants to never the floor!
