Have you found buyers for any of them yet? There are a lot of Shorthairs on the ground right now because everyone wants spring puppies so they seem to be harder to find good homes for, for some breeders.  Are you self vaccinating or going to your local vet? You have started vaccinating now haven't you? Who did your tails & how were they done & how do they look? After a few bad experiences with vets cutting too short or long or leaving scars we started doing ours ourselves with a docker we purchased years ago. I think Fosters & Smith sells one simular now.

Dottiestars said:  "You have started vaccination, haven't you?"

Vaccinating young puppies is very much debatable as to their efficacy, as most carry immunity from mom until they are about 6-7 weeks old.  Therefore, there is feeling that before then can actually lower those titers and create problems later on.  Also, there is new protocol from Colorado State U Vet School (which I don't have time to hunt for right now) which says that immunization should not begin before 8 weeks, for many of the same reasons.

.  Personally, I prefer 7 weeks, as that is when I usually ship, but I have a pupster right now that came from California with no immunizations at 7 weeks.  I practically begged the breeder to at least do one recombinant parvo before shipping but she said no.  So, we waited and at 8 weeks, Rico had his first immunization (Progard 5), with the second last week at 12 weeks. It makes it hard to take him out, as its definitely Parvo season here in the SW.

Off topic, for which I apologize, but had to respond to Dottiestars statement.  :)   The pups are cute, but then again aren't they all....those ears are such a hoot!

6 weeks is today so we will vaccinate today. I am going by vet protocal but doing them myself. The tails are great, my vet has us come to the room with him to have them done so we can tell him where we want each pups tails. We went about half way.

That's great Beth that your vet did the tails that way! If you are self vaccinating as we do also, you should try to get the ones without the Lepto in them, because where I disagree about not giving vaccines until later then 6 weeks, I do agree that you shouldn't give the Lepto until they are on their 3rd or 4th set because it has been found to cause Auto Immune disorder in sporting breeds if given too young. Make sure you keep all of your lables on a separate paper for each pup so when the buyers go to their own vet they have record of it because most vets around here won't except it as being vaccinated unless they see the lable as proof.

That's how we did our pups last year too. The vet put the sticker label right into each pups record book.

Yeah we sold a female today. She won't leave til she is 8 weeks old but they visited and got to know our dogs for a couple hours. It was fun. It also feels good to have one spoken for. And we are thinking about keeping Solola. She is really showing some promise. Very birdy already as a youngster.

We still have 3 girls and 3 boys. Probably a bit of a distance for you though.

If we on this forum had someone who was planning a trip from Michigan where Moose GSP puppies are and plan on traveling to Canada near Diamond, maybe could take a GSP pup along to Diamond or at least within driving distance for Diamond. There are alot of travelers who read this forum. There is got to be a way to transport a GSP Puppy to his or her new home if it is far away. All of us would be happy to see Diamond adopt one of Mooses puppies if he wanted. And it is a shame not to just because of distance!! What other ways do GSP Breeders use to transport their puppies to far away adopters??

That's what I want to do with my pup when she isready but the breeder won't fly them. Voids certain aspects of the warranty. Not sure why. I am running into that problem with getting her here from MO.
Diamond - what US state is below you?
