Just wait till I find a patriot Jersey!! How about your favorite College football team Hogan?

Why, Michigan of course

I have a bright red Michigan sweatshirt that I will put on Abbey, unfortunately the  M  is upside down.

In this mornings paper, all the hotel, restaurants ect are very happy in the entire state of Wisconsin for this weekends Packer play If the off game. Hotels in Oshkosh, our nearest big city hotels will be filled by this week Wednesday. Because it is a late 5:30 Sunday game the Hotels will be booked an extra night. "January is one of the slowest months for tourism and the Packer game just gives Wisconsin economy a boost!!! (OSHKOSH Northwestern Tues, Jan 16th-08).

Marie- Oshkosh is a big city? ;-) j/k That is good news for you guys! Good luck! Maybe that will make Rocky smile!

Pointer Fan-  I know how you felt at that bar...I was from Chicago and went to college in WI.  I was usually not welcome with my friends when they went to the bar on gameday...since I usually had a Bears shirt on!   I doooo miss cheese curds though!  Fried and just plain!  mmmm...you can not find that anywhere else.

Oshkosh has a population of aound 60,000 with the 3rd largest UW State College , University Wisconsin Oshkosh that adds to the revenue of the city. In the summer Oshkosh hosts Country USA and the EAA Experimental Aircraft Association!! Also Ohskosh is the home of Hughs homemade chocolates and the Oshkosh by Gosh BIB Coveralls for children originated in Oshkosh. Rocky will smile if I just make him wear a Packer bandanna around his neck and not a shirt of any kind. Rocky apparenty dose not like wearing clothes!!!

I was just teasing you Marie... I actually visited Oshkosh all the time when I was at Ripon.  We had several formals there as well...  :-)   We are supposed to be getting a cold front for this weekend in FL.  Is the forcast looking good for you guys and all the visitors for the game?

When I was auditing I ended up on Chicago audits frequently. My husband would fly out for the weekend and we would head for Wisconsin. Would love to live in Door County if I had the money to live there. My husband worked on survey crews in Wisconsin when he was in college and it would not take much to talk him into moving there. And you are right about the cheese curds----sure can't find them out here. I will probably have to root for the Pack in honor of an old boss of mine who came from there.

The forecast for Greenbay and our area is snow beginning wednesday night continueing all day thursday ending Thursday night with a possible 4 to 6 inches of additional snow. Then on friday an ARTIC BLAST IS MOVING IN BRINGING COLD AIR FOR BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY IN GREEN BAY:  HIGHS 8 DEGREES AND LOWS -6 DEGREES!!!! ...Jodi that was a great question about Oshkosh  as it provided me an opportunity to tell about Oshkosh for the people on this board who have never traveled here. I figured you knew about Oshkosh since Ripon is only about 20 miles away.  Rocky is going to have to lay low and do indoor activities just brief outside times  this weekend DURING THE ARTIC BLAST.

Chargers - Patriots Hogan. Do I hear your Packers shaking? Do I hear SB Sunday for Patriots! LMAO!!!
Marie - It is awful here now too! We got about a foot of snow last night and it is so windy it has to be below zero wind chill. Thankfully the school was closed today so my gsps can stay inside with the kids.

This has been playing on some of our Wisconsin radio stations and I received this as a foreward e-mail it made me laugh  that my sides ached when I first read this

Packer prayer-Go Pack Go

Our Farvre who art in Lambeau,

Hallowed be thin arm,

The bowl will come, it will be won. In Phoenix as it is in Lambeau

And give us this Sunday, our weekly win.

And give us may touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us..

Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the valley of the sun.

For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Cheese heads now and forever, AMEN

What's the old saying "Any given Sunday"

After all, wasn't it the Baltimore Crows that almost beat the Pats?

A little humor for you cheeseheads:

We Green Bay Packers fans amuse ourselves by scaring every Chicago fan we see strutting down the street with that obnoxious orange & black 'C' on their coats.
We would swerve our cars as if to hit them, and then swerve back just missing them.
One day, while driving along, I saw a priest walking.
I thought I would do a good deed, so I pulled over and asked the priest, 'Where are you going Father?'
'I'm going to give mass at St Francis Church, about 2 miles down the road,' replied the priest.
'Climb in, Father! I'll give you a lift!'
The priest climbed into the rear passenger seat, and we continued down the road. Suddenly, I saw a Bears fan with his 'C' coat, walking down the road.
I instinctively swerved as if to hit him. But, as usual, I swerved back into the road just in time. Even though I was certain that I had missed the guy, I still heard a loud 'THUD.'
Not understanding where the noise came from, I glanced in my mirrors but didn't see anything. I then remembered the priest, and turned to the priest and said, 'Sorry Father, I almost hit that Chicago fan.'
'That's OK,' replied the priest, 'I got him with the door.'

I don't who looks colder at the game, the fans or the players with their bare arms. I have to curl up with a blanket to stay warm enough to watch them.
