So how early do you need to make your reservations for this? http://www.gspca.org/NSS/2011/
We are planning on going and camping....Striker is nominated (that's what it's called right Phyllis?) |

I would call the resort directly and see if they are accepting reservations for the GSPCA Nationals in May. They should be but be sure they give you the club rate. Striker is both Show and Field Futurity Nominated and I'll be sending you the forfeit forms shortly. Won't be due until December 31st for the show, and you need to join GSPCA (www.gspca.org) if you are not already a member, in order to continue his nominations. He will need a DNA certificate which can be ordered prepaid from AKC or I can send you a DNA kit cheek swab kit that you complete and send in. (needs that to enter any National events be they conformation or field events). And, of course, complete his registration with AKC if not already done...December 29th will be here sooner than later and then he can compete in all kinds of things! But check out the GSPCA website first and go from there! Phyllis and the fly-eating siblings Lucy and Olliver and the rest of the Singltrak Furtribe too |

My first Nationals was last year in Florida, and we had an awesome time. I made my reservations about 3 months before and had no problems. However, for entries in the different events, I sent those in the day it opened for entries. Probably do not have to worry about that for conformation entries, but for any other event you are going to participate in, I would send those in early.
My daughter and I plan to attend with Maple (Lahrheim's Mystery Snowfall) and Java (Yellow Rose's Cafe au Lait). You will have a great time! |

I am planning on going with my shorthair gang and will be participating in obedience and conformation for sure, and maybe some other performance events as well. I have a fifth wheel and if it works like it did in Denver the reservations won't be made until much closer to time for the Nationals. Usually we can rent a spot on site to park the rig for the event. That is what I plan to do since there are no close RV parks. With me I will have Halo and Ringo who will both be competing in obedience. Halo may compete in agility, and Ringo in the hunt test. I will also be showing two of my pups from Halo's litter in conformation. To add to what Phyllis said about the DNA, you also need that for entry in obedience and rally. Keep in mind too that to get your DNA number and results can take a month or more, so send it in early. I don't know who the superintendent is (probably Roy Jones) for the Nationals, but the premium will likely be available and entries open in the March time frame. |

OK! Lots of stuff to get done...I will be doing AKC registering this month (hubby got the bonus check so now for bill catch up time)...i will join GSPCA too at that time. then I will work on the DNA stuff...Blitz won't be showing and he is neutered but is it a good idea to DNA him too (he is AKC registered already)? I am an over planner so I always plan way in advance if you can't tell since I am already worrying about reservations, LOL! |

If Blitz is just going along for the ride then he doesn't need DNA certification. First things first, get the AKC registration done, and we will go from there... I'll be in touch this weekend.... Nationals is such fun! You will have a blast! (and Ollie and Lucy will get to see their brothers too!!!) Phyllis |

Yeah I am so excited to get to meet you and for Striker to see his brother and sister! Yeah Blitz is def just there for the ride but I had just wondered if not right now but if it is just something nice to have done (the DNA). All this doggie stuff is mind boggling, LOL! I am good to go on horse stuff...matter of fact vet was out got Mel's health papers and we are off to Iowa tomorrow (Saturday) final performance for the season. For those of you that don't know I am an equestrian trick rider and my team doesn't just trick ride we do drill too....like synchronized swimming on horse back with tricks! |

Joce, In 2013, it's supposed to be in the eastern US. Fingers crossed that we can plan a road trip! |

2013 is in Pennsylvania. I can't remember the location, however. Hope you guys can make it! Phyllis and the tribe (no, Lucy's not staying as much as I wish-but just semi-visiting right now) |
