LOl Phyllis. I had 6 of the rug rats out in my family room last night. I put up baby gates to confine them. My mom and dad were over and we laughed so hard at the babies wrestling and fighting and playing with all the toys. I am going to miss this gang when they go to their forever home. At least one will be staying with me though.

Anne - Thanks. Lot's of work and patience to get the rug rats to stack. You need them awake and hungry, but not too awake and hungry or they are over the top. And as you can see by my different colored tshirts in the photos it took two photo shoots to get them all to my liking. Even then there are a few that could have been better. Right now Orange and Purple are my favs from a pure conformation perspective. Lt Green has a winning personality and all kind of attitude in his face. Orange is the boldest. Purple is my climbing acrobat. Lt Blue is an adventurer. I did like Yellow, but he has fallen apart a bit in the last couple of weeks. Brown remains solid and has a great personality. I would have a devil of a time picking a boy right now. As for the girls, they are all nice, but I am absolutely in love with Orange. She is a hand full. Rosy, who is staying with my mom, is a sweety with a bit of a devil in her. Red who is going home with Roz on this forum is almost a cross between Orange and Rose. She can get you around her little paw just by looking at you, but look out she is also a little stinker. They are all so much fun, I am going to miss them so much when they go to their homes. They are allot of work, but I think the trays with the pine pellets help as I don't have allot of cleanup in their pin except when they have an accident once in a while.

To anyone who breeds I cannot tell you how easy the pine pellets in the trays have made my life with regard to the puppies pooping and peeing. They immediately started using the pellets for pooping and have rarely had an accident, and now that they are gaining a little control over their bladders they are also getting to the trays to pee as well. Even when they are out in the family room they will head back to their pin if they need to potty. It has been amazing. I would highly recommend.

I still like orange girl and now purple boy is my favourite of the boys.

What are pine pellets? Wonder if we have them in Canada.... I have used newspaper in the past and was always amazed at how quickly they would rush over to use when waking up or after playing.

I get the pine pellets at our Tractor Supply store here. They are usually used with rabbits or other small animals. It costs $5 for a large bag and I bought two trays that are about 24X24 inches. Works like a litter box only for puppies. The pine pellets disintegrate to sawdust when the puppies pee on them. When they poop you just scoop it up. Makes for much easier cleanup than newspaper. I still put the newspaper down for the pee accidents, but those are getting rare now. They do love to shred the newspaper. When the pine pellets are used up I just dump the tray of sawdust in one of my mulch areas. So far I am really pleased at how well this works. I plan to leave a pine pellet tray next to my back door to help potty train my girl when all the other puppies are gone. It will be for the times when I am not fast enough to get her outside. I bet is she will go toward that tray to pee or poop as the puppies already go back to their pin when they are out and then need to go.

Thanks, Bev. I'll have to look into that next time we have a litter. They don't eat the piine pellets? I hate it when puppies paly tug of war with the newspaper and poop gets everywhere.....

So far they haven't eaten the pine pellets. They do sometimes romp through them before I get a chance to scoop up the poop, but still not as bad as the smeared mess with newspaper.

I did have to watch Halo at first as she still wanted to clean up after them and I didn't want her eating any of the pine pellets.
