Bentley has got all the grace of a hippo when he swims, bless him! But he does LOVE retrieving his dummy from water now!

You just need to get him to quit dropping his butt. Did you notice the change in his swimming once he had the bumper in his mouth. That was nice swimming. My oldest girl likes to hop off the bottom for as long as she can and does allot of front feet splashing, but she knows how to swim and if I tell her to swim she will. The butt sinking and the front splashing actually wears them out faster in the water than the nice smooth swimming. Just get your boy to hold something in his mouth when he swims and he will quickly learn.

They all swim like pencils at first LOL but he'll get it in time. As Bev says, the back trip looks good already...

I see that you sit him, throw the dummy, release the dog. I do the same with Tessa except we "whoa". She wants the water so bad that she whoas very well for it!

I usually mix it up Dagmar with sits and downs, not done much Woah yet but then next time i go i'll do that instead, see how he gets on.

Thanks Bev, he looks so funny when he's splashing around like that swimming out for his dummy. Get's a lot of comments from other dog owners haha. I'll just keep doing what i'm doing and we'll see how he gets on :)

Been doing some Frisbee too so i'll get a video of that up on here soon for you guys too!
