Striker made it to Ohare arriving at 4:20pm and we met him shortly there after.  We kept him in the crate till we got out of Ohare.  I held him on my lap till 2 miles down the road at the oasis (my husband drove).  He went potty at the oasis and then he got the run of the middle of the SUV (we had the middle seats laid flat and the boys sat in the third row seating).  He met the boys and then went into his crate (we had the door open) and napped the rest of the ride home.  He did good meeting Blitz and warmed up to him pretty quick.  Blitz was happy to meet him, Striker does not play as wild as Donner did at least not yet (Donner was rough from the start).  We brought him in and the dogs ate dinner.  Then he pawed the patio door so we took him back outside.  Him and Blitz played for an hour outside.  Then we came in and I got on the PC to load pics, he still hasn't slept!  Boys are taking him out potty again now...

He is adorable! Best of luck to Blitz, Striker & your boys!!

Cooper also was shipped to us via airplane. He was so tired between the plane ride (arrived late at night) and an hour or two of going from lap to lap in our den, checking out new toys, etc. that come bed time he went straight to bed without whining, crying or even waking up in the middle of the night for a potty break. I'll bet Striker will be so exhausted after such a long, busy day that he'll crash tonight. Based on the photos it looks like he'll do great with your boys and Blitz!!!

P.S. One piece of advice... after being in his cage for such a long flight, Cooper was always really comfortable with his cage those first few days/weeks. Consider keeping Striker's cage door open when he's playing, etc. with your sons and Blitz. He will likely find his cage a safe, comfortable space to crawl into when he's tired or needs some space.

Thanks, Robyn. They have had a small crate to "nest" in in the midst of their puppy area, so he should be fine with having his own den. Good suggestion too...:) I was surprised that he couldn't have a stuffed toy or his chew hoof in the crate with him but Continental said no....they were very lenient with the amount of food I sent...probably 'cause everything totaled less than 22 pounds! Enjoy, Marcia and family...its our pleasure!

We used his crate he got shipped in to use in the living room for his hide away...we had done that with Blitz when he was little and he loved it...so far I do not think Striker has used his but it was buys last night so maybe today...

He was zonked last night...went to bed at 10pm and I got him up at 6am when the kids got up for school. He is getting trained that Colten's room is where he sleeps so his crate went on Colten's bed at the foot of the bed and Colten slept with his head by the crate door...

Odd, I thought I posted this morning?

Anyway, he sure looks like a confident pup. Great looking family.

Can't wait toseehim grow up and the kids handle him in events.
