We are renting a house at the beach that allows dogs so we brought Benelli along this year.  With that being said, I really envy those of you that live by the beach and can run your dogs on the beach.  Our first day here, Benelli was major zoom dog on the beach.  She was in doggy heaven.  The second day she was miss whinny to go to the beach.  She was up at 0600 and had to go out.  She had to be on the beach most of the day. I think I walked about 8 miles that day just so she could be outside.   She runs full blast and stops dead in her tracts to point a sand piper.  It 's is kinda funny to see. You would think they would go head over heals but they don't.

She has tired out at least 8 labs, 4 goldens, and several smaller dogs.  We have had so many people ask what kind of dog she is....wiem/lab mix etc.   We had one guy say sure she can play with his lab. " Last year there was this lady that had a GSP and she ran my dog in figure of eights"  Well, Benelli did the same thing to his lab this year. Kinda funny that they do the same things.

This morning when I got up she was a little on the tired side.  She didn't get up and want to go out when I got up :)  I think the late night crab hunts are getting to her.  She is funny to watch on the beach at night with the sand crabs.  She sticks her nose into their holes and digs until she finds them.  She also very fast when they are scooting across the sand.

I have taken some pics but I didn't bring my adapter along to download them to my computer.  i will do that when I get home.

Just wish we had another GSP for her to play with and really run her to the GSP potential :)

Hope you all are having a great week.  So far great weather her in the OBX.

I can so see Benelli sticking her nose in the sand crab holes LMAO!!!! That has to be hysterical! She'll really be surprised when one latches on and doesn't let go!
So glad your vacation is going well, you deserve it!

Aw man! Your sooo lucky to be at the outer banks!!! We got home about a week ago from ocean city maryland with the dogs (still dont have the pics up). It was a blast, but the one awesome thing you guys have down there is that dogs can be on the beach! Theyre not aloud on ocean city's beaches this time of year so we had to drive down to Assateague island a few times so the dogs could have some beach time. Hope your having a blast!
