Oooh, all beautiful girls. I love #2's polka dotted look.

...and now I see the boys are up.  That white one sure looks showy.

I think girl 5 is still my favorite, she is going to be very flashy when she grows up.

Beautiful!! I would have a hard time picking from this litter. I think I would have to see their temperament and what they do with birds.

I am thinking of hanging onto girl 3 and boy 3. I realize boy 3 may be hard to finish in the ring due to his color.....but there's something about him I really like.
He will be Zodiaks Spellbinder....call name to be thought of later - cannot think of a good one yet, maybe Nitro??
Girls 3 and 1 are very close, girl 1 has a bit more bone/leg & I believe the better pup, but girl 3 looks so much like her momma, so I have chosen both pups more with my heart than my head, LOL. She will be either Zodiaks Sky on Fire or Zodiaks Starbusrt (call name Star or Sky).
Snap will keep her name, Zodiaks Super Snap, fits her. I really like her, she's a hoot, but boy 3 reminds me of his grandpa as a pup, can't help myself.....

Nice looking pups.  I'm only going by pictures, don't know personalities but I had the same picks.  Although I keep looking back at the white female.

Thnx, they are all pretty bold and independant, gave them a quail this week & they had a blast with it. Pretty even litter as far as temperments go no real dominant/submissive in it & none fearful of new things. This week we head to friends to play by the pond & run in the field, maybe get a pigeon too.

So, I went back and looked at the stacked picts and love girl 2 and boy 1. They are very nice. Although girl 2 does have the patch on her back that gives a bit of an optical illusion on her topline. Still I think if you wear something light behind her, she that won't be a problem. Will be curious to see these guys again at 8 weeks. I suspect some that look tall in the rear might be much better proportioned by then. I would be curious to know if you are seeing the same temperament on your pups now as what they had in the first week. I know I am seeing some strong independence in some of my pups and others that have very even temperaments. My best friend and her hubby came over tonight and we were playing with the pups and she even noticed the independence in some of them. Will be interesting to see if this persists.

None of them are high in the rear, all have very nice level toplines, one thing I like about them as well as being pretty consistantly balanced. You must see a lot of GSPS with sloping toplines around you?? We see that here a bit, but some nice dogs out right now.
A couple are a tad longer in loin than I want to see- like boy 2, lovely front but a bit long backed, but not so much right now they wouldn't finish - boy 3 is very short backed with a lot of leg which I love. Boy 1 is the finest boned, smallest boy,he's pretty, but would make a better bitch than dog.(still could very well end up in standard, just going by comparing them to each other right now)
Really couldn't tell you at a week old as I don't pay a ton of attention to them then, that may sound bad,but having raised/helped raise about 30 litters over the years (GSDS, Danes-grew up with, mom raised and bred them, grandpa raised beagles, rescue dogs I whelped, and the GSPS, so not all GSPS, LOL!!) I really don't start "watching" them until they open their eyes & start motoring about, they all act about the same at a week old, although the beagle pups were some of the messiest pups & raising a litter of 14 Danes is a real treat, LOL!!!!!(NOT!!!!It was winter too......)

Ann,they look very nice. You did a nice job stacking them. I don't think their rears look too high at all. I like girl 3 also and if you see something you really like in boy 3 then keep him. He looks like he will be tall and stylish.
