Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to everyone.  This site has been a big help to me in choosing my first GSP.  I have only had Rico for a week now but he has picked up on everything we want him to do.  Its been a pleasure and I am sure it will be a wild but fun ride.  Again, this if my first but will not be my last.  I am happy to have Rico a part of our family.

Is he a black & white?  Looks like he's going into that lanky stage!

He is actually liver and white.  I cant believe how smart and he is already at 12 weeks.  the second picture is him sitting on his food container where I caught him trying to get into it, I wish I had videoed it.

Well I started with one, and then had to get another and then another and now I am waiting on my first litter of 12 more puppies which will probably make their appearance tonight. Will be keeping one for a total of 4 shorthairs. So be careful, they do grow on you.

Oh he's a cutie! I echo what everyone else said ... we started with one, now have two and are limited only by the size of our backyard. If I could talk hubby into acreage, we would have a dozen :D

Congratulations on Rico. Like others have said, German Shorthairs are the best. Gator, my 3 year old is the 2nd one we've had. I had beagles and cockers in the past, all good dogs, but I doubt will ever have anything else than a shorthair.

Welcome good looking pup! You make an interesting observation about "not being your last". The more I read and the more I talk to others about GSP's....somehow you just can't have just one. I have had my little girl for a few months now, and i am trying allready to convince Mrs. R to let me get another one. These dogs are a joy and this site is very helpful. Welcome!

Let me know 6 months from know if he's doing everything you want him to.
I had dreams once too. LOL
