Phyllis, if it were a little girl I would take her from you. We would like another girl. Good Luck. I am sure you will find a good home.

Not knowing the breed well enough I am very curious to know what his color will be...Blitz and Donner were white and ticked, but they never had that greyish look, so does this mean he is going to be a roan?

Yes, roan and hot ticked. Up by his neck and shoulders that uniform grayish color is roan where his back legs are more like a hot ticked color. A true all over roan is seldom seen.

So basically a heavier brown on the front half and then lessening up on the rear end....It will be cool having a different color than the white ticked...

I think he will also be a fairly dark dog with all the roaning on him. Love the butt patch. He also has beautiful markings on the face. Love the blaze.

Beautiful pup. yea he will get darker, the roan/ticked parts look dark grey on our pup. She looked very similar to this guy, now she is fairly dark.

Another vote for the butt patch--we used to chant at Peppy, "Sat in a paint pot, put her head in a paint pot. . .!"  Great news, I'm thrilled for you all.

Actually having bred the dam and knowing what is behind her, and knowing the pedigree also behind Buster, I'll be somewhat surprised if he is a dark roan at all. I'm thinking more the color of my 12 year old Emma, who is a Hero daughter...and Buster and Hero are (were) close to the same overall color....the grayer (grau) roaning color rather than the dark liver.

We'll just have to wait and see!

Phyllis and the Furtribe (who are liable to be all different shapes, sizes and color variants!)

But still more roan that white ticked so that will be cool!

This is killing me trying to work all the details out to get him here! We are super excited about him! We have a list of names...Thor, Striker, Snap or Snapper, Bolt are some and my son is liking Thor...

Looks like the little guy will be flying in on the 30th! We are getting super excited!

So far our list of names are:
Thor
Striker
Komet
Dash
Snapper
Bolt

My son is liking Striker now but had been stuck on Thor for a while...but we are waiting till we meet him to finalize a name...

I have wanted to use the name Dash for a long time. That's my vote.

Striker seems to fit him...that or Dash or Bolt..
He's not really a Thor or Zeus type...pretty fine boned..in fact, Jean will understand when I say he'd have made a pretty little girl.

Phyllis and the furkids (who are really ready to leave yesterday! :) )
Still have one girl available if anyone wants pix and a dynamite DC pedigree...

Yeah, I thought he looked like a girly man

And I don't mean that as a bad thing. Some of my favorite boys were just finer and more lightly built. Interesting that the only boy I have here now as an adult is built like a Mack truck, when that's really not my favorite presentation!
