Daniel turned 8 today (I could have sworn it was Friday, but got my dates mixed up, oops!). I had yesterday off, so he & Layla & I took a birthday trip to Rhode Island. There is a bike path along the ocean, so we walked 12 miles & the dogs got to play in the water & get the crazy zoomies for seagulls.

It was a very good day & both dogs slept the whole ride home, woke up long enough to get out of the car, have dinner & go to the bathroom, then went back to sleep. They were so tired that they didn't even bother coming upstairs when I went to bed.
