Gun had his last set of puppy shots, rabies, and lyme today. Found out he gained 7lbs in less than three weeks! Oy! We've passed the 20lb mark and the little man is 20.5lbs!!!
I sure am going to miss my little wrinkly puppy! (I guess that means we'll just have to get another one!)

| Wow, what a handsome young man. He is growing up so fast. Funny when they are puppies I can't wait for them to grow up, then I wish they were puppies again. Probably why i have three now and waiting on #4 with Halo's litter. |

Wow!! Your little Man is really getting big fast. Great puppy up date. Still has a sweet GSP puppy face yet. They grow up too fast. Love his cute puppy facial expressions and his long GSP ears. Wonder if his ears get wet when he is drinking from his water bowl?? |

Marie, his ears get SOAKED and I love it!! 
The vet didn't advise me to have him take a few days off after his Lyme shot, should he have?? |

| Our vet doesnt even vaccinate for it. They just wait and treat it with antibiotics. My sisters puppies needed a few days rest after their lyme shots....seemed a little sore and sleepy. |

| For the area I live in, Montgomery County, I think the lyme rates are pretty high?? I just decided it'd probably be a good idea considering he is outside lot and we take him walking through the tall grass at the state game lands and in the woods and whatnot. Perhaps overly cautious but I just know too many people and animals who've gotten it recently. |

| Yeah, we have high lymes here to...all our dogs have it. My sister has it...heck Im pretty sure I have it...Im in the woods every day. Next Dr. appt Im having em test me for it...heard WAY to many horror stories of people who have no symptoms, until their in the 3rd stage and have permanent damage...scary stuff. I almost just want to get it so its in my system and I don't have to worry about getting it anymore haha |

My vet just asked at one of his puppy visits if I was interested... So I did it. I think it was only about 30 bucks for both the vaccination shots. But, that being said Gun hasn't had a tick anywhere on him once we frontlined him anyways. We on the other hand are picking ticks off of us daily. Go figure!
As for lyme in people, definetly get checked if you think you have it!!! |

Ya at the beginning of the year our vet told us every tick they've pulled off and tested had lymes. And we're about 6 hours north of PA.
Better safe than sorry -- not a fun thing to go through. |
