I love the one of him watching the TV! My youngest GSP (Donner) likes to "talk" when he has toys...kind of his way to show them off but he talks with more a a gurgly growl sound...some people think he doesn't want them to take his toy and that is why he is growling but he is just showing it off and he would love for you to take the toy and throw it for him!

HAHAH! the Dog Whisperer/TV watching is totally hysterical! Love the facial expressions and the head tilts LOL

The TV one is great, LOL!! Mine do that also when they hear strange dog noises on TV or if I am watching certain shows like goose calling -hunting show.

Shorthairs have the funniest expressions when they are trying to figure something out. Love the TV watching.

He made a Chewbacca noise in the second video and I laughed out loud! Love it!

He sure is a handsome guy. From what I see in the videos he is displaying anxious and insecure behavior, try to settle him,non verbal and keep physical contact to a minimum - just enough to maybe sit him or get him to lay down. Our dogs talk to us in he best way they can and Casey is doing a great job of communicating. Francine

Francine- Thats what I was thinking. He looks anxious--hopefully this isn't an everyday behavior and you can help him through it.

Yes, I agree he shows (I think? Still not sure what is going on some days) some insecure behaviors...for example barking and raising hackles at friends that visit(taller guys in particular) or taking steps backwards when I approach him. He really does do a lot of communication through his posture, noises and movements! The first two videos were taken when we just get home after we have been out for a few hours - I think that we may also be guilty of getting way too excited over him when we come home. Thank you for the comments & tips. I am still always trying to learn how to deal with the day to day situations and tie them into the big picture. It's amazing to see all the changes he has gone through in the last few months since we adopted him, but it has certainly has been a continuous work in progress for the both of us. Hopefully I can also get some videos of him on the Hungarian partridges. His bird finding skills have also really improved since we got him!
