A great dog was laid to rest today, CH The Buck Stops Here Regardless MH, my first GSP and constant companion of 12 years, sire of Tara & grandpa to the new babies, teacher to many a pup and an incredible hunting partner. To say I will miss him would be a huge understatement, he was my baby boy and my pride and joy. He was buried with his favorite thing, a bird, at his favorite place to go, my good friend Johns farm.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Isn't it him that you have a picture of pointing with one of Tara's pups? He will always hold a special place in your heart!

Thank you Beth. Yes, that was Buck with the pup pointing, he was a great "teacher" for puppies in the field and at home.

So,so,so sorry.
Memories - how would we get through it w/o them?

I am so sorry for your loss. It's hard, but time will heal your broken heart, and the many, many memories of this fine boy will live in your heart and head forever.

I am so sorry Ann. Buck lives on, however, in your memories and in his pups and grand pups. It is always hard, but when it is one of the special ones, it is even harder.

I too am so sorry for your loss, and the fact that your dog just had pups reminds me of when I had to have my beloved horse, whom I had loved for 33 years put to sleep. I asked my Vet, how do you deal with having to put pets down, he said that the thing that keeps his sanity and things in perspective is when he gets to help bring a foal into the world. The circle of life. I am so glad that you have that opportunity to watch these puppies grow and know that Buck does live on in those precious puppies. My heart and prayers are with you.

Ann very sorry for your loss but you will always remember him when you see that great crew he has helped give you in the winner's circle.  He brought you to this game and we all thank him for that.  You and Buck will be smiling at the same time with each new win in another generation.

It's so tough when they leave us. I am very sorry that Buck is gone :(
