Was wondering what your thought are on his soft stool he has been having. Im going to take a stool sample in but before I give my life saving to the vet id like to see if anyone could shed some light on this matter for me. He seems fine except lately i've noted is poo is not ever hard. Its like soft serve ice cream most the time. thanks for any info!! Jager appreciates it!!!

Any change in food recently? New routine? New "things" in his life that might upset him? Sudden heat change? Weather? All the time or after exercise/excitement?

I would take a stool sample in to the vet and have it checked. He could have giardia which they can pick up just about anywhere. Or, he might have worms which can make their stool soft. Otherwise, I would look to the suggestions from Philly as possible issues.

I will add that my boy at that age had bouts of soft stool, have no idea why, but he eventually outgrew it. I would give Immodium and Pepto when he would have problems per the vets guidance.

Hogan has soft stools, natural (pro biotic) yoghurt added to the feed works wonders!

my boys both had soft stools on and off as youngsters, more so on a walk, they would get softer, i did become obsessed with poo's!!  lol. However all calmed as they got older, my last gsp i discovered was very allergic to rice! once i got his food changed all got better, gsp's do seem to have sensitive tums sometimes and do need good quality food, ( thats what i have found anyway,).I agree with Shelley about the youg,i used sheeps yougurts, always best to get checked by vet though when they are young, my motto is .... follow your instincts, even for walks ect.. if you feel unsure do another place. if you think something is wrong... don't leave it. My lad has Addisons and if i had left him one more day and not thought .. this ism't just a tummy upset!!!! All is settled now though, but i NEVER leave anything to chance.
