Apologies B, probably my fault in a way for trying to address the questions of Pro's and Con's by providing a site to research facts. Also apologize for the pix, but I thought it important to graphically demonstrate the big WHY? of tail docking. Just got back in from a Trial and I'm whooped...G'night ;-)

Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.

Bruce - I personally thought your post was good. I run into people all the time who think it is terrible that I have dogs with docked tails. I always try to take the time to educate and usually once they understand they are ok with it. As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words."

I think longer looks better than shorter.
