Just curious really. Rupert's not much of a face licker, prob because i didn't really let him when he was young, but both ours are ear lickers. |

| My old girl will not but clingy Max would groom your face if you let him. He might sneak in a few licks but...not many because he would go overboard. |

Ours try to lick faces but mostly the kids faces...I don't let them lick mine so they figure it out not to do it to me....
Blitz gets very close to my face and then sticks his cold wet nose on my nose and we do the "Eskimo kiss" |

Wachter will lick kid's faces.. especially if they have been eating candy. But none of my dogs (or cat) are allowed to lick my face.... Toes maybe, but not the face.

Ewww toes!!! Hogan will lick my face if he gets the chance, I don't mind but I won't let him lick my mouth.
Also, he loves to YAWN in peoples faces.... does anyone elses dog do this?! |

| Baira doesn't lick much at all and I don't encourage it. I've never allowed my previous dogs to do it so Baira won't be allowed either. |

Cooper's not a licker, and we certainly don't encourage it. Although he will try to sneak a lick of our hands if we have lotion on, or my legs if they are still wet when I get out of the shower. Usually he takes advantage of having our bed to himself when either of us are in the shower- he spreads out and creeps up onto our pillows, which my husband hates!
I once dropped a dryer sheet on the floor and he rolled his whole body in it like crazy. I think he likes the smell of "clean". Could be muuuuuch worse!!! |

Oh yeah, i'd forgotten how rupert used to lick my legs like crazy when i got out of the shower!
why do they want to lick our faces, are they trying to groom us, or is it a social thing?

Mine are not lickers, thank heavens, other than if I use hand lotion! But they will pretty much give kisses on request--that is, when Mommy says "Dimmee tiss, sweetie!"  |

| Oh yeah! Hogan loves to lick my hands if i've put cream on, it can't be good for him so I try not to let him do it... also he licks my legs straight after I've got out of the bath/shower.... the other day I was lying in the bath and he was on his bed in the corner of the bathroom........... next thing I know... flying puppy and I have a puppy ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though it was so painful I couldn't stop laughing!!! |

| Serenity loves to lick my face... especially when she gets up from her nap! I've had my nose bitten a few too many times though, so I'm having to be careful with it. She really likes to grap hold of my ears if I'm on the floor too! |

| Xara will lick you silly if she is in the right mood, Sniper is an ear kisser he's obsessed with them, Sienna only kisses me an Andria, and Lou the cocker will kiss anyone who gets their face close enough for his long tongue to reach! He's got the fastest tongue in the East I swear! |
