Osiris was a bit of a bad boy this afternoon....  he did his first bout of counter surfing that he's done in a LONG time...  in almost over a year....

My husband's birthday is tomorrow and I made a Geman Chocolate cake for him.  I set them on the racks to cool and then had to go to work, so I asked Dave to wrap them up when they were cooled.  Well, when I left for work, Dave and Osiris went upstairs to take a little nap.

While Dave was napping, Osiris got down off the bed and went and helped himself to half of one of the cake layers and then when he'd had his fill, went and got back in bed with Dave like nothing happened.  Dave came downstairs to find the mess, and Osiris knew he'd been naughty - he was laying across the room with his paws over his eyes... LOL

He called the vet just to be sure, and they said just to watch since the cake was not iced and it really wasn't too much chocolate realated to his weight.  We just have to watch for the shats...

What cracks me up is that he snuck out of bed and had a snack and then got back in bed.... tee hee hee.  Sneaky little thing.  I have to admit, the cake did smell really good while it was baking.  The poor pup couldn't resist....

LOL, Ringo got a brand new box of mom's favorite butter cookies. I had just gone to the grocery store, had brought the bags in and unloaded them. Went back out to the car to get something and started putting the groceries away. I noticed that Ringo and Halo were not underfoot in the kitchen. Very suspicious behavior. So I went looking for them Ringo had opened the box and had it laying on the sofa and he was on the sofa with one half package of the cookies (cookies were already gone, but he was cleaning up crumbs), Halo was on the dog bed with the other half package and it too was gone. I walked in and they both stopped, Ringo jumped off the sofa and they both were sitting in front of me like two little angels (not). Thankfully I had a cover on the sofa, so all I had to do was pick up the wrappers and box and wash the blanket that was on the sofa. Bad dogs!!

That is too funny!

Cooper has been participating in a new form of counter surfing lately: bathroom counter-top surfing! Oddly enough, he only does this when he's at my parents' house... When my brother doesn't close his bedroom door all the way, Cooper sneaks in, goes straight for the bathroom, hops up on his vanity, and checks for fun things to get into. Every time he finds my brother's disposable razor.

In the past we've caught him walking around with the razor in his mouth, but he's never hurt himself with it. Last night, however, my brother went to his room to find Cooper on his bedroom floor chewing apart a disposable razor and a scissors!! (Ughhhh!)

He came downstairs to tell me, and of course Cooper followed him. But when Coop came downstairs the only thing he had in his mouth was a dirty sock from my brother's floor. He wouldn't let go of the damn thing- which was good because it soaked up the blood from the cut that he gave himself on the roof of his mouth. Ughhh! Thankfully he didn't swallow a blade and only cut the roof of his mouth a little. Looks like we're in the "terrible twos"!

i mentioned in the other thread all the things dieter has gotten..heres one of the stories..i was doing a renovation at the house next to my parents so i had my father doggy sitting dieter. he had three pork chops out thawing all day long on the counter-top..now dieter didnt even attempt to go near them all day it was gettin close to 4pm and my father was about to start cooking them up so he decided to go used the bathroom and wash up...he told me he was in the bathroom for about 40 seconds and by the time he returned to the kitchen dieter was licking his lips with not one piece of pork chop to be found...3 PORK CHOPS IN LESS THEN A MINUTE...bone and all...i kept a close eye on him the rest of the night and assumed the bones must have been really small. anyway he was fine and had regular poops..but i just coulndt believe his patients all day and then when he got his window of opportunity and he struck

This is the funniest thread. At least Ringo & Halo were cleaning up there crumbs. He was just wanting for the pork chops to thaw - pretty smart who wants to eat frozen chops.

I am very lucky 4 dogs no counter surfers. I can leave cookies cooling on a table and walk away with no issues. Gus did have his feet on the counter around Christmas even got a picture of him but never did it after that.

GSP-fan - I didn't have counter surfers either until I got Ringo. Halo saw him getting good things off the counter so she tried it too. She is much sneakier than Ringo though. I call her my pickpocket thief because she can take something out from all kinds of things and never knock anything over or break anything. Ringo on the other hand is not so subtle. LOL

Yes!! I love this thread as to know Rocky is not the only GSP Counter Surfer!!! Ringo and Halo with cookies in living room and not in usual kitchen area when Bev arrived in house, reminds me of Rocky's Foster Mother's warning to me in our first interview. She said," If you do not see Rocky, he is in another room getting into TROUBLE"!! Best true warning advice ever!!!

Oh Razzie is just as bad as Bo, but she's shorter which makes it harder. Bo doesn't even need to lift his feet off the floor to put his nose on the counter ... sigh!
