Thank you so much for the list, but none have what I am looking for even if they do have puppies now (many don't have pups now). I can't believe how hard it is to find a good solid liver pup here in Calif. I appreciate your help... |

Have you tried a search for gun dog breeders? I believe there is a web page dedicated to classified ads from breeders of strictly hunting/versatile dogs and you can search by state and breed.
That's how we found Murphy's breeder. Liver pups are not to say "rare" but definitely not as prolific as liver and white ticked and patched. |

| That is tooooo funny, I have been talking to her!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would LOVE one of her puppies!!! My only problem is hubby would like to find one closer and not have to ship a pup. But I love her dogs,it still might happen, we'll see... |

I have talked to Kitty many times and she is a really nice, knowledgeable person. I have had my eye on that Wit/Rose litter, but think any of her litters seem nice. I would go for it and get one from her. Have her give you names and numbers of folks that got pups from her and give them a call. Good luck!

Where did you get Murphy? And who was his father? My Chelsea passed away last month also... on Feb 7th...

I wouldn't limit yourself to "local" breeders especially looking or a solid liver female...most airlines will ship to you. However we got our 2nd GSP this summer and I flew from Long Island to MN to pick him up, he flew home at my feet/on the seat next to me getting loving from a little boy who adopted us for the flight  It was really easy and less expensive then flying him alone. We shipped our first GSP who is now 6 and ironically is very "jumping" with loud noises...

| We got Koda from a breeder in San Diego. I'm not sure if they have a kennel name, but I'll try to find the information for you. My boyfriend planned to pick her up, but it didn't work out so they shipped her. |

Are you looking for a pup to use for hunting purposes?
If so, looking at the breeding and testing history.
Candy Apple red paint does not make it a sportscar.
If you are looking for companionship, by all means go for the all liver.
