Donner and Blitz are getting along great.  Usual dog stuff, Blitz takes all the bones and hides them from Donner so then I have to hunt them all down so that I can make sure Donner has proper bones for chewing available at all times.  We have tons of bones: 4 knuckle bones and 2 nylabones for power chewers!

I am still having to make sure Donner goes out for a potty every 30 minutes and he does not ask yet.  We have gone a day or 2 with no accidents but usually once we miss our schedule and have one potty in the house (almost went all day today, but didn't make it).   He is a little trouble maker always looking for something naughty to chew on or somewhere to sneak off to for going potty.  I have been doing sort of the inside leash method without the leash.  My eyes are on him like a hawk all day.  I make sure he is in the same room as me and if Blitz is not playing with him then I am or I try and get him to sit on my lap for a nap.

So I am beat just trying to keep up with little bugger!  Once nice weather comes I can just sit outside and read a book or bring my laptop out and let the dogs play till they drop.  So my life right now is play with the dogs, nap time which involves getting real life chores done and going outside every 30 minutes!

I hope it passes! I was at the store today and I thought to myself would it be wrong to buy diapers for Donner...of course I didn't, I'll tough it out, LOL!

Blitz was so easy, he was potty trained in about 3 days (of course he had a few but not many accidents after that but far apart). Plus Blitz didn't really chew any thing that wasn't his, he was curious about some of the kids stuffed animals, but he had some of his own so it was hard for him to know at first which were which...

Blitz never liked getting in trouble if I raised my voice saying no or leave it or ah-ah! He stopped and gave an "I am sorry look" but Donner if I do that he gives me an evil look like "Who made you the boss of me?"

It is scary cuz the dogs match the personalities of my son's that picked them out....my oldest picked Blitz and they match and my youngest picked Donner and they match!

Glad you have having fun with him...

"nap time which involves getting real life chores done"

This made me laugh, once Hogan is asleep I rush around, washing up, laundry, cleaning!!! I've even started vacumming because I want him to be able to sleep through stuff - if I didn't know any better I would say he was a lot older - he opens one eye at me then goes back to sleep while I vacuum round him!

We are also going out regular to potty, but he has learnt quickly... he goes to the door - just can't hold it in when he gets there!

Where are the pics of Donner?! xx

it definitely takes time. Dieter was the same way as hogan. it only took him a couple of days to go to the door and paw it but if i wasnt super fast at getting him out he would start to pee
