I know this is the GSP forum but I was just curious what other dog breeds people like to check out at the Westminister show?

I just have internet access to it, no TV, so I am limited to what I find on the website. I haven't seen this year's gsp video yet.

I have been watching the Plotts and the Black & Tan Coonhounds. I like both. Both have the nice, short coats like gsp's. I think my Jenny is a Plott or Plot mix. She is a shelter dog so I don't know for sure what her parentage is. The short hair is nice so they can't mess it all up like is done with the poodles or sheepdogs, for instance. The Plott that won BOB looks like a really nice dog. I suspected he would win as soon as I saw him. I just watched the Weimaraners, they all look the same, except the one that seems to have a shorter cropped tail. The Black & Tan's all look the same too.

Just wonderin'

I really liked the English Pointer - what a beautiful dog, and they are so intense.

If the GSP couldn't win, I really liked the black cocker. He had nice movement and a great personality, beautiful dog.

Bev Quarles, the Pointer Sisters (Belle and Halo), the Outlaw GSP (Johnny Ringo) and the little Princess (Fauna)

I watch the Springers, Belgian Tervurens, and Rotties.

Did you ever notice that most of the time if it's an older male he'll pick a small dog, and if it's an older female she will pick a large one for BIS? LOL Honestly! It's like a trend!

The Britt that won was gorgeous, moved beautifully. I really loved the Flat Coat as well, I like Flatties as a whole, nice dogs, almost got one several years ago.....really though he or the Wire would have gotten a placement!

I like to watch sporting and hounds as a generalization of groups...I like most dogs in those categories....I think some of the longer haired dogs are gorgeous but I would never own one cuz I could never keep their coats that nice!

I also like some of the non-sporting like the big guard dogs.

I like labs, GSPs, Vizslas, Weims, boxer, mastiffs, bull dogs, dobies, rots, chesapeake retriever, blood hound, black and tan coon hound....I'm sure a tons more...I love dogs!

Not much of a herding dog fan or toy...
