All this dang snow has had us cooped up more than normal, tried running the dogs a few times but cannot begin to keep up & really tough going for me, up to my thighs in spots!(maybe getting older has something to do with this too...)

Soooo, I'm headed to my buddies tomorrow & going to run them off his Rhino - has tracks, not wheels, goes through anything - lets see if they can outrun me now, hehehehe.........

No cover so probably no bird work unless I can find at least one decent spot to hide a bird, but a hard run will do them good, birds or not!! Gotta start conditioning for FT's soon, not far away now. I think it sounds fun just to be able to blast through the snow, love that Rhino!!

Have fun. We have lost tracks off our skid steer before. I used to think it was unstoppable too. Be carefull in mud.

Why do real estate developers ruin so many landscapes?

Don't think we will see mud here anytime soon......and believe me, I wouldn't complain if I did about now!! We ran it with tracks last year, I only got to ride it once though as he got them later in the winter, it was a blast, thing goes through drifts better than a sled does!

Woo-Hoo!! Had a blast! Snow didn't slow the dogs down any, couldn't keep up with them even in the Rhino. It was blowing & snowing pretty good, but we had a good run anyway & the dogs had a great time, could have cared less about the weather.
Mode of transportation..

Couple shots of the dogs on the run

Put a bird out for Jess:

Weather worsening.....fields below were what we were going around, gave them a good 4 mile run apiece, I figure through all that snow they got a pretty good work out!!

I want one of those modes of transport. I have my 4 x 4 but that's no good for hooning arpound fields in 3ft of snow.

It's a blast, believe me!! We have a good 3ft also and higher drifts, didnt slow that down much at all, couple spots it had to "grab" a hold. Has a winch though, so you can get out even if you get stuck. I will be running them regularly now, trials are only weeks away.

It was a gorgeous day today. couldn't get a hold of my buddy to go run off the Rhino, so went to the preserve for a walk, I must be nutz!!!! Snow was softened up a lot & very hard going. Up to my knees/thighs (thats saying a lot!!). Cut the dogs loose & by the time I thought about not going for a walk - which was about 20 yds of walking, I look up and see this.....the dogs were running the treeline to my right.

I knew 2 phez have been hanging out around the preserve all winter, so figured I better go find the dogs. Through the deep snow. With a heavy coat & to much clothes on. At my age......LOL
15 minutes later, I found them!! They were on the top treeline & to the right - theres some corn left below it, phez was hanging out there (pen went down & a couple escaped few weeks ago)

Jesse

I need a nap now......leashed Jess half way back & let him "help" me through the snow, not doing this again anytime soon!!! From now on, until the snow melts it's the Rhino.

That thing as in Jesse or the Rhino?? Not sure of the Rhino, but pretty sure Jesse does, LOL!!! He can really power through the snow, doesn't slow him down much.

That Rhino looks like a ton of fun! Our weather has been so up and down with lots of moisture, mostly rain...... I took the dogs out for a run today, as they took off I was splattered with mud and then as I was walking one of my muck boots got stuck. I was hopping around trying not to put my bootless foot down and almost fell on my butt. Figured it was better to have one muddy foot than a muddy butt! Had to run the dogs through the shower before they could come up stairs.... I think it will be July before it ever dries out!
