Wow! My little hand raised runt has been in another growth spurt lately.

Xara now stands 23 inches tall at the shoulder, and weighs 43.8 lbs. She'll turn 7 months old on the 9th of February so she still has a bit of growing left to do. I can't wait until she starts to bulk up a bit and broadens through the chest etc. right now she's long and lanky and narrow LOL.

Should this be her final growth spurt? Or will she still put height on yet over the next few months to her first birthday?  It's soo funny to look at her and look at Sniper now, she makes him look like a midget and I always said he was a big dog! Now he's the runt!!! She makes him look thick and short and ungainly next to her sleek "runway model" figure!

Wow, I can't believe she is 7 months already. I remember when you were talking about getting her. Just from my experience I would say she is probably finished growing height wise, but will begin to fill out and develop muscle. Halo really didn't start to muscle up until after she came into season the first time. With her she was a very late bloomer and came in for the first time at almost 2 YO. My boy is 1.5 YO and is just now starting to add the muscle. Just in the last month he has finally lost allot of that lanky puppiness. That said the lines Halo and Ringo come out of seem to later in developing. So, Xara may develop a little faster. I do know that all of mine were pretty much finished height wise at around 7 - 8 months.

I know, I can't believe she's that old either! I still remember the excitement of going to my daughters to get her.
She gets spayed on the 18th of February. I was going to let her go into heat one time, but decided that I wasn't up for the hassle of dealing with it!

Yeah she has really gotten big, the video on the other thread really shows it! She was so tiny when you got her!

It's amazing how fast they grow. she's a great looking dog. I went and saw my friend who owns a springer the other day, and their dog looked so small, and like you i thought she was fairly big before i got my GSP!!
