Who out there is prefers the solid liver head or favors the blaze/mask look, or it doesn't matter.  I used to always want solid, but I think the blazers are starting to grow on me?

I have always liked the full liver head....though I first fell in love with this breed seeing a solid liver pup and I have wanted a solid liver pup...however we went with personality over color and we ended up with the opposite (for both dogs we bought) with liver heads and white ticked bodies...the new puppy has a tiny blaze on his nose...

I think I like the clean look of the solid liver...it always looks so shiny!

Here is Belle with the classic blaze.  This was what I thought I liked the most.

Then I got Halo who has just the dusting of a blaze around her nose, but nothing up between the eyes. Closer to the solid.

And then I got Ringo who is even closer to the solid liver head (this is the most white he had, as he grew up it has faded even more), and I have decided I have no preference as I like all of them.

So the bottom line, I have no preference.

I thought i preferred solid liver head and dieter does have a solid head. But after seeing everyone's pictures of all the different looking gsps how can you not love them all.

I like the blaze but would not have it be enough of an issue to keep me from getting a specific dog. Kilian has the look i like......thus own the wildman.

I love the all-liver head.  But a little bit of white doesn't hurt...

I've yet to see a GSP I don't love, so I guess I have no preference either ... :D

Rocky just had a little blaze around his solid liver head at 12 months in this pic.

I'm a fan of style and hunting ability.......I go color blind when I watch a hard charging, brush busting dog slam a stylish, intense point! I love a good bird dog, blaze or no blaze.......no preference as long as the nose on it works well!
I have a dog with a solid liver head & heavy patching, a hot-ticked with a blaze & no patching.....a roan with a blaze, a little one with a solid head and heavy blanket (durn near a solid liver).

I don't really have a preference on the head color, but I do have to say, after seeing flygirls Benelli, who is solid liver all over,,,Benelli is one gorgeous pup!! I really like the solid liver GSP's.
After that I like the ones like Marie's Rocky, not too heavy ticked to be roan, but not so lightly ticked to be too white.

I prefer a solid liver head. I've noticed with my oldest GSP who had the most white on her head when young that she is almost totally white in the face now at almost 12 years. Maybe Rayne who has just a smudge will not grey up so fast!

I am still a solid head fan, but I am sure if I had a blaze it would grow on me. Both of mine have white on their muzzles.

My next go round if I'm down to 2 pups of equal qualities and can't decide, I think I'm going blaze, huh maybe even name her Blaze.

Rocky does have a white ticked strip going up the back of his neck. Don't know if that counts as total solid liver head?? Also is getting whiter around the snout as he is aging.

For fun !! This is a pic I posted a few years ago to display how a heavy ticked GSP can camouflage when the grassy ground meets the first of a snow fall. Rocky got the knick name of "Plunger Butt" from this pic.

Zimbass- Great photo of Buddy. I love his markings!

Both my husband and I prefer solid liver heads. My husband prefers all-liver GSPs. I like all-liver, but also really like a solid liver face with a heavily ticked and patched body.

Cooper is so pretty, I really like the solid....just funny how I didn't get the solid...There were 2 solids when we picked out Blitz and his personality won us over!
