| Bones can be hard to find. There are only a couple of grocery stores here that carry them as well. Make sure that the bone is large enough. They tend to package them up in 3s here so sometimes they are small. My guys love them and they keep their teeth clean. |

| I used to get bones from the local grocery stores, but with the big chains they do not do as much of the butcher work and never seem to have big enough bones anymore. Even the local butcher doesn't keep bones like they used to. |

| I usually see them labeled as soup bones. I ask to get the larger ones before they cut them into the small sizes. All the food stores around here have them. |

| When I see decent beef soup bones, I stock up. Cashiers at the grocery often ask what I'm going to do with all the bones! |

My dogs have brought home deer legs that they have found out in the woods. I didn't give the leg bones to them. I let them chew on them. Bearoff was ok when he was a pup but Jenny is a power chewer and would break up the leg bones. Then they would be sharp and smaller so I would gather up the pieces and take them away from the dogs.
Watch out if there is still skin/fun on the deer legs. Jenny ate that and then came inside and later puked the hide up all over the carpet in the hallway. It was nasty. It looked like two 6" sub rolls from a distance. Lots of stomach juice to soak into the carpet also. Time to get a rubber floor or something.... |

| haha gross. My buddies dogs; rimfire (black lab) and Schatze (mini schnauzer) just found part of a deer carcass that they put out for the fox/coyotes in front of their trial camera to get pictures. They checked the camera and had pictures of their dogs dragging it away. They later found it burried at the side of their house, by the basement hahaha, it was like 1/2 of a deer carcass....gross. |

I have got to jump on the deer antler bandwagon. I am training mine to track them. There is even money that can be made for big one if you google it. Plus the lack of sharp pieces is the biggest plus. So you get three bangs for each antler. Dogs get exercise and training while searching, you get otuside with them and if they are big enough sell them at a profit to yourself. Now the dilema to sell the big antlers or keep that big buck your own secret for next year? |

Bully sticks are another favorite here as are dehydrated lamb lung - I buy those at the store. I just make sure that the are US Made.
Is this what the pet store told you because that isnt what they are. There is a rwason they are called Bully Sticks because they come from a Bull. Ill let you figure out what part of the bull they are from.

I really like the pressed rawhide and give them to my dogs when they get rawhides. They dont splinter with my dogs and they last forever. I have some big antlers in the shed but I just cant bring myself to give a 150 whitetail rack to my dogs.

| I don't give them the 130 class or bigger either. But I do let them keep the little ones for themselves and I GPS the locations of the big ones. Have only found three to date but not bad. The two were definately old ones based on condition. One was new through. My male found a never trailed arrowed deer when he was younger and that got me started into the idea. |
