Happy Thanksgiving to everyone furred and pink! :D

Today we'll be hosting family-wise just my dad, as my sister is going through a stem cell transplant for leukemia and can't be around sick people, and my mother has to stay behind to take care of her. They tried to get her home for the day but her daughter (9) came down with a cold (soon to be followed by 7yo son I'm sure), and we can't risk it. I have promised a holiday in her honor, complete with the full meal spread, presents, and a musical/decorative theme of sister's choice once she's over the worst of the medical hoopla and feeling up to it this spring.

And the friend we'll have over today has just come back from the midwest, where her dad is getting geared up for a fight against lung cancer (asbestos exposure induced).

TAKE TIME TODAY TO HUG YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND SAY  YOU LOVE THEM!!!

And sneak a hug and a kiss and an extra bit of turkey for the hounds of course... God bless 'em, no matter how life rumbles along, they're always cheerful and glad to see us.

My prayers go out to your sister---that's some pretty strong stuff she is going through. I spent a year going through cancer treatment and I can tell you that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. I am thankful that I have had eight years to watch both sons get married, welcome 2 grandchildren (with another on the way) and celebrate my mothers 90th, 91st and 92nd birthdays. I wish all good things for your sister and your family. I can tell you how important your support is.
