Hi there,
I've been reading the posts over the last couple of weeks to help get ready for my new puppies. Thanks to all of you for all the wonderful posts! It helped me out alot.
Just got a new female puppy, Laguna, from Legacyk last night. I'll be getting another male, white liver ticked, from another litter 3 weeks from now.
I thought I'd follow forum rules. So, here's Laguna:
She already knows her name, sit and come (some of the time )
I'll be taking these guys to work next year as I do residential gardening. They may replace my tiller, ha, ha. Until then I've got the winter ahead for intensive attention/training, as I do sporadic snow removal.

Welcome!! She looks so sweet, wish they could stay that cute size a little longer than they do. Good news about 2 GSPs, is they can wear each other out in the backyard when they get the puppy zoomy, zoomys !! Congratulations!! |

| Laguna is a beautiful girl. You are going to have lots of fun, especially when you get your boy. Welcome to the forum BTW. Glad you found the posts helpful. This is a fun group with allot of GSP and dog experience. |

Hey, welcome! She's a cutie. I agree with the others -2 puppies,AUGH!!! And a double AUGH!!!! And you're doing it willingly. It has nothing to do with the breed,I just see havoc everywhere, just tell me you don't have children under 10 years old. Francine |

| I actually think two GSP pups may actually be easier aside from trying to potty train both at the same time. At least they will have each other for play time and to entertain each other. I bet they will tend to keep each other out of trouble too. The only thing you have to make sure is you give each their own time with you and you keep up with training both separately as well as together. The will require an investment of time on you part. What you don't want is the two of them to bond more with each other than with you. They will be close anyway because they will grow up together, but you still need to make sure you are the leader. |

I can't imagine having two... especially for the potty training part.. Ugh.. and having two real quick little things that you CANT let out of your sight or something else will be ruined. not trying to scare you or anything |

TB, did you say they will keep each other out of trouble???? Boy,you ARE an optimist. I don't see it so romantic. I enoy my sanity,I enjoy being married,I enjoy my kids not having to step in pee b/c they don't look when they walk and I enjoy quiet time. Oh and I enjoy not having to watch out for counter cruising. We are considering a 3rd from a litter I JUST HAVE TO HAVE,(of course), and to say the truth, I'm dreading the 1st 15 months of it. I'm thinking of giving Haiko to my parents for the first 12 months to help with the transition. I wish the OP the best of luck and remember,we are here for you! Francine |

pixie - I have had others say I am an optimist, but I have Belle and Halo when Belle was a little over a year and Halo was a puppy. Prior to Halo, Belle was a terror getting into and chewing on things all the time. As soon as I got Halo she became my perfect Belle and I never had a problem with Halo at all. Of course, it could have been the two dogs too. When I got Ringo, Belle and Halo were older and they left Ringo to his own devices allot when they didn't want to be bothered by a puppy. That meant I had to watch Ringo much closer or he would get into trouble on his own. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten a second pup at the same time I got Belle. I am convinced she would have been a much happier dog in her first year. This is just my own personal observation and experience and might not be true for any other GSPs on earth, but I would still bet that the OP will have it easier in some ways with two as opposed to one. |

That puppy is gorgeous! What are your plans for her?? You are very brave to take on 2 pups at the same time, regardless of breed. I have to agree with Pixie on this one. Double puppy duty would probably put me in the loony bin. I'd have a hard time bonding to each one, too, I think. |

Yeah, I'm not sure I won't go crazy, but the winter is really slow, but erratic. Any time it's likely to snow I have to wake up to see if there's enough snow to take out the truck for my prepaid contracts. So I'm up every 3 or 4 hours. Also, my roommate loves dogs and so does my worker. My brother has 2 year old girls (humans), so I'd thought I'd be able to share in and add to that madness. And my brothers wifes' mom has 3 lab retrievers, so... Also, whenever I've lived with dogs, I 've always been around many, I find one strange. I plant to take them to work, cani-cross or bikejoring and possibly hunt, but with - don't laugh- a slingshot. I'm kinda anti-gun since I got shot and robbed a couple years back in central america. I did enjoy hunting as a child with my friends 22 though, until my parents found out... More pics soon... |

Aw, how sweet is that! Have fun! Ringo was an easy pup so all these puppy pictures are making it very hard to fight the puppy fever! I have to keep repeating "I don't need a puppy, I don't need a puppy." |
