Hello everybody....
Good news from the great state of Tennessee. Yes, I said Tennessee. I know, I'm from Georgia, and right now, I'm on leave in Tennessee. ANYHOW...
Today I took my wife and son out to the kennel to meet our pups breeder, and to pick out a pup. The pups are only a week old today, really hard to tell anything about personality, but under the circumstances, I have no real choice. I wanted as close to a solid liver head as I can get, and this pup met that criteria. Other buyers are wanting to get lined up for pick, so I had to get it done while I am home. I am only home for a couple weeks, and the breeder has given me pick of the litter. I know that there is an element of chance with that, but, I am willing to gamble on the breeding. I have included a few pictures of my pup, and I think that there is one decent pic of his momma dog. I'll post more as I get them, opefully each week untill I get home for good in April.

I like the paching and mom is a nice color as well. What are their bloodlines like? Mom just reminds me a bit of my girl. Was dad dark like mom as well? I am sure you will be happy with the pup you picked and I LOVE that you brought your son with! Is this his first puppy?

OMG! They are TOO cute! It's hard to believe they are ever that small. I think with these guys you can tell a lot about temperment from the mom and dad, so if you liked the mom's temperment, you likely love the pup's.
Congratulations!

Congrates to you and your new GSP Pup. Such an infant honey. Beautiful ticking markings will most likely come in latter. Thank you for serving our country. I will pray that April gets here soon and you are home for good !!!!

Congratulations on your new pup!!!  And God Bless You for serving your country and protecting all of our freedoms.

I agree with the other posters, both of my girls are like there mothers in disposition.  I am certain you picked a very nice puppy.  Good luck to you and may April get here quickly.

Not too sure on the mothers bloodlines. THough she is calm as they get. The father has ties to Rawhide clown and Fancy White Trash. From what I have sound both fairly well known in the trial world for the GSP breed. I know that the fathers side of the lines tend to produce big running, strong hunting dogs. I belive the mothers side to be much calmer. This breeding is trying to get the high prey drive and birdynes from Clown and family in a general hunting and family companion. I'll get the bloodlines and post them to see what you all think.
This isn't my sons first dog, though it will be his first pup. We currently have a 7 year old basset. Great with the kids, but, not a bird dog by any means.

Thanks all for the kind comments. I will keep you all posted as I get more pictures in the coming weeks and months.
